If she does it will save the tax payers quite a bit of money, but she'll also cause more harm to the survivors. I really don't like the idea of Lori questioning Kay and Brandon at trial.

Yes. The conviction and sentence in Idaho will stand. Different crimes, different jurisdiction. Regardless what happens in AZ, she’s never getting out of prison. I know it’s not exactly justice for Charles and his family, but at least she’ll never see Potato Daybell again and never be a threat to anyone again. Not that it helps in the Arizona case unfortunately, but the reason she stood trial in Idaho at all (probably) is Idaho doesn’t have a Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity statute. Not that I believe she’s insane. Hardly. Insane people don’t cover up their crimes, because they don’t see what they’ve done to be wrong. Blaming Tylee, who was killed two weeks prior to JJ is another cover story. Another blame it all on someone else act to make Lori the poor little victim.

I get that being mentally unstable questions whether or not you can participate in your defense. It does nothing for those who have been waiting for justice for Charles and Brandon. They need closure, they need the opportunity to heal. She is extreme when it comes to her beliefs but does that necessarily mean she is crazy? She will never be freed.
