Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the video! Blue is loving the new house & he is now sleeping under the plant haha! Also wanted to say quick. PLEASE please remember tortoises are a huge responsibility & should never be bought on a whim. They live over 80 years and no child can make that sort of commitment! So please do the research & make sureee you’re ready for it to live longer than you!!! Thanks guys!!!!! See you Tuesday!

Gosh I love you and your husband for doing this. Such a lucky fella, you did a great job. I have a chelonoidis chilensis (31 years old), a native species from the north of my country (Argentina) and they excel by being excellent climbers, for being rough (they usually hit their shell against stones or anything hard they see on their way, especially in mating season), and although they're vegetarians usually eat everything they should not: stones, earth, sand, etc, etc. When I saw the vine, the first thing I thought was "OMG, what happens if he wants to eat it" and immediately you said you were going to be attentive, so I breathed deeply haha (only those who care for tortoises understand that paranoia for our little babies hahaha). Thanks for sharing this beautiful video! :)

Hi! I also have horsefield tortoises, we started off with a smaller enclosure like the size of a small rabbit hutch as the tortoises were quite small, then as they grew bigger we got them a new cage about every 2 years. My male tortoise zippy is now 13 and my female tortoise is 12 and they live in a 5ft by 2ft enclosure. But it's okay to just give them the large enclosure first as it saves A LOT of money honestly it's your choice :) ~ hope this helps :D

Recently subscribed to your channel. I am a lifetime reptile/amphibian parent and I just want to say thank you. There is not enough awareness of how to properly take care of and raise amphibians and reptiles. What you're doing is extremely important. I can rest a bit easier at night knowing you are properly educating the general public on how to properly care for these prehistoric and wonderful animals. I personally have a 25yo map turtle as well as a 17yo pond slider that were both raised since hatch-lings. I have also rescued/raised many various other reptiles. Sorry for this paragraph long comment, but I just had to express my gratitude for the awesome thing you're doing.
