She is genuinely a lovely person, her songs are so inspiring. And bless Rylan for being there for her and making sure everything went as smoothly as possible

SHAME on the X Factor for abandoning this participant. Well done, Lucy, for pursuing this and telling your story. From a fellow survivor, I know how much one has to battle for some sort of justice and progress in society.

If you read the book you find out that ITV still weren’t up for apologising nor did they want to involve Lucy in any of their projects - even when Simon tried to use his influence to open the door for her. ITV doesn’t seem to realise that saying sorry will not topple their empire, but it could make a world of difference to those who need to hear it.

Lucy Spraggan, what a beautiful and bold soul. It takes something powerful to waive your right to anonymity in a high profile sexual assault. I experienced a similar situation where a serial rapist conned his was into my home but as many other victims came forward, he escaped with thousands of pounds, faked his death and missed his trial in January this year. I’ve been told I can only tell my story to the media if I waive my anonymity as “ until then, it’s just another rape case” - as told to me by a Sun journalist. This is so wrong.

Her songs always gave me a sense of a deep underlying sadness that gave me the distinct impression that all was not well with her. Sadly, it looks like I was right.

This kind of stuff shouldn't be happening in this world. I'm beyond saddened that this happened to her and lord knows how many other women (and men) when it shouldn't have. I work as a personal protection specialist (body guard) one of the things we have to teach our clients is how to secure your hotel room from the inside so nobody can get in even with a key card. I always tell women to learn these tips because it's extremely important. I'm absolutely not saying what happened to her could have been prevented, or do anything wrong cause she didn't, what's wrong is the horrible twisted person who did this to her, I just wish this didn't happen to her or anybody else. The show handled the situation terribly and it's disgusting. As a recovering heroin addict (9 years clean now) I fully understand the struggle of road to recovery , and it isn't about stopping drinking or drugs, it's dealing with what u were trying to bury down inside. She is a super star, she should be so proud of herself. The strength to survive everything she went through and the guts to come forward the way she has is extremely powerful and inspiring.

Love her to bits. She has so much bravery and strength. For me, Lucy just sparkles. If justice has anything to do with it, the rapist has suffered the same fate more than once since he entered HM's hotel pleasure.

Yes, strong enough too take a nice check for a book. Pure intentions totally. This isn't me saying what happened wasn't wrong it was totally and utterly wrong. But don't do it on back of a book deal.

I'm assuming you're a bloke. A blokes view on something women go through day after day all over the world. You have no place to question Lucy's motives. She is incredibly brave and people like you are the reason women are reluctant to come forward. You absolute weapon. I hope to god you don't have a wife or daughters.

It’s taken a decade for her to tell the story. If she wanted money she could’ve had a zillion exclusive interviews especially when it happened and the public were desperate for an exclusive re leaving X factor.
@lizvtaz6 Жыл бұрын
Why should't she? No amount of money will take away the horrible memory of assault anyway. She is a victim in this situation, but she is strong enough to tell her story and turn it into something semi-positive for herself, such as publishing her own book. Don't be mean.
