It finally clicked in my head! I sat down and had it made in 25 minutes! It takes a creative person to come up with ideas, but it takes an amazing person to sit down and work out the mechanics of that idea! You really are amazing! I cant wait to try more of your bag ideas!

I’m pretty impressed with the construction of those napkins. The fact that they kept it cut and hemmed straight with the pattern on the fabric is a lost art in ready-made items!

Love these pouches! I made a couple with the clear plastic insert previously and just used one yesterday to keep a roll of toilet paper in the car (I sell real estate and sometime you gotta go and there's none in the vacant home you're showing). Anyway, just bought a couple placemats yesterday too! But my Wal-Mart doesn't seem to carry the cute ones you always have. Looking forward to making this larger size pouch. Thanks!

Thanks for your tutorial. Would it be possible for you to make a slide down Pencil case from a placement with a zipper top. I have seen A few tutorials but they are not beginner friendly I thought using a placement may save several steps as would not need all the stiffness added

Do you have to use the napkins and place mats or can I use these measurements to make a project bag from fabric?
@csgracesew3 жыл бұрын
Sew I have some random quilted fabric I would like to use for a bag bottom. Could you put PDF instructions with measurements to use yardage?
@lw79673 жыл бұрын
The placemats are 14 x 19. But I would cut your quilted fabric 14x18 and finish your seams as you wish because it will not have the binded edges as a placemat would. The napkin for the top was a finished napkin that was 18x18. I would do the same if you are using fabric. Cut it 18x18 & finish the edges. Follow her directions from there. You could make it all 1/2 in. larger to allow for seam allowances but I was figuring using fat quarters for this project.
@JG-yh8wz3 жыл бұрын
I am doing this project. I want the finished product so badly,lol! But honestly, I don' t think I can make more than one because no matter what you do the lines of gingham are out of kilter and you simply cannot correct it or hide it! When folded and sewn in correct measurementes, the lines are crooked and I cant stand to look at them! You, however, are amazing, and so are your projects!
@LorrieNunemaker3 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry you can’t stand the look of my project lol. Unfortunately as I stated in the video the placemats and napkins aren’t cut perfectly nor are they perfectly square (from the manufacturer), hence the $4 price tag - but I find them rather cute nonetheless. Hopefully you can find a better alternative
@JG-yh8wz3 жыл бұрын
@@LorrieNunemaker I love the look of your project, I just get frustrated when companies throw fabric together. More my problem than anyone else's as I was raised in a home where crooked was wrong, lol. It was not intended to upset you. I probably will find a different fabric because your ideas are shear genius! Your creativity is over the top.

I totally love this project but ran into a wall. I went to put handles on and I follow to fold in half, folding into the half way and then you say on both sides to sew, what about the middle of the strap? What am I missing? Blessings, Cathy
@livingcreatively13 жыл бұрын
She didn't do anything to the middle of the strap. If it is wide enough you could sew cording in the middle but not necessary.

Hi Lorrie! Everyone constantly asks for pockets on the inside of these placemat bags - how would you go about doing that without a lining the stitches would show on the outside of the bag? ugh no easy fix for this unless you put a lining in right? This latest version is amazing. Thank you =)
