For the battle cruiser, the tessera in all it's variations, over 12kms dps starts droping. At 20 kms dps is mostly 0.

Man, loru! , your T0 Abyss guides had me feeling like an absolute space ninja. I was out there zipping around, smashing through NPCs like I was the chosen one. I started feeling so confident I thought I could take on the whole galaxy! So naturally, I strut into a T1 abyss thinking, 'I got this, I've been training with Loru!'... Turns out, T1 had other plans. I swear the minute I jumped in, the NPCs gave me the kind of welcome you’d expect if you walked into a nightclub wearing a tinfoil hat. One second I'm soaring, the next I’m having a nice chat with my insurance broker. My ship got turned into space confetti faster than I could say, ‘Warp out!’ It's like the Abyss said, 'Welcome to T1, enjoy your complimentary one-way ticket back to your home station"' But hey, the learning curve in EVE is steeper than the Abyss itself, and it’s all part of the fun, right? Thanks for the guides, Loru! Back to T0s for me... until I muster the courage to dance with T1 again. 😄

Tip for NewBro’s never fly directly at any ship but especially projectile ships. It will multiply damage taken. Always “approach” at an angle then orbit when close enough, and never sit still (except for a few exceptions).

For the Karbydis Tyrannos another type is to not approach it head on. Manualy aim yourself by double clicking in space off to the side aways to get in closer before you move in to orbit. It has high damage but low tracking you can avoid getting hit completely by going wide before moving in close.

This is how you approach leshak and other battleships at 30-45 degrees angle to the side, once he turns to you, switch to the opposite side. Remember to turn off MWD once you deem yourself close enough to reduce signature size.

I don't think this fit can handle T1 anymore. Maybe something changed, but I just met a battleship that was (I think) rocking 5 or 6 rapid light missile launchers. I was eating 400-700 damage every 5-10 seconds. Far more than my booster could heal. Needless to say my Corax was blown to smithereens before I could even figure out a strategy. I think it's "Attacker Marshal Disparu Troop" but I might be wrong. I ran the fit from this vid maybe a month ago, for a couple weeks, and never encountered this battleship in T1. So it's been a while since this vid was made, but now I'm seeing this new battleship that absolutely demolishes me. Maybe it's something added in an update? Like I said, I ran T1 a a bunch a couple weeks ago and never met it. I just don't see how a Corax can handle this missile battleship. Maybe at extreme range, like 45km, it might not be able to hit me? But holy cow. It's rough out there.

I know I'm late but the Marshal has always been in T1s. Try getting out to further range like you said and it should work better :D you can also try turning off your MWD once you're out there as when it's online, your signature radius increases causing missiles to apply much better to you, and even at max speed overall you're only getting a tiny decrease in missile damage, so try focusing on running your SB once you're at range.

Been playing for a month & this vid (accompanied with its T0 predecessor) made me brave my first T0 abyss! I then proceeded to get flustered and die in the last room >.< I was deflated and limped the 14 jumps back to Jita all depressed. :( However, sir, I did not let it keep me down!! I coughed up another 3mill for a shiny new Corax & fitout, cruised back out to a luckier-than-that-last-one system, and ran 2 successful abysses to put me back in the black :D Now much more confidant I can get my ISK collecting on!

I recently discovered that the number of lines present in the filaments at the top indicates its tier. No lines indicate tier 0, one line indicates tier 1, two lines indicate tier 2, and so on. This is a simpler way to identify a material's tier compared to trying to memorize names like "tranquil" or "calm".

Missile skills from this translate well to a Caracal, which can pretty easily run T2 filaments. Corax is also a great mission runner for lvl 1 and 2 missions if players want to try that out.

Though this is a good ship and can definitely survive t1. It isnt as fast as when your running this in t0. You get money here, but you also lose a lot of time. Maybe you need skill to clear all the rooms as fast as possible but for those who arent that knwoledgable, i suggest going for just t0 runs instead. A lot faster and you can even finish them in 4 mins or less. Each run can give you 12-6 surveys. There is some rng in play but this is more worth it than just going t1s with this. Rlly high risk high reward. Maybe grind to like a dragoon or worm for t1s first. This corax build will get you 10m/hr in t0 so it might be relatively more easy and safer to do that that instead

Just tried a similar fit in a corax for Eletrictal T1. It worked but at the last room I barely survived. Also, couldn't get the full loot because I was using afterburner. As for details, I was using 7 Light Missile II + Mjolnir II, small clarity shield booster and an afterburner rather MWD, otherwise I wouldn't be able to fit everything. Also, I took off the cap recharger since the EM for this T1 just get the cap stable. Even with 160 dps and 2000hp I almost got exploded in the last room. I think that reducing dps in order to fit a MWD and get every loot, might not work. I just survived because I managed to exploded the ships fast enough. It is doable, but It might not be the best ship to face T1. Disclamer: This fit that I described is for Electrical due to capacitor stability. In any other you'll deplete around ~1:30 (Making it impossible to survive)

a GREAT question, the easy answer is, manually pilot as far away from it as you can, consider heating the propulsion mod to get even further away when you need

There's no way to do a T1 abyssal with a corax, I've done it 3 times with this same exact load out and eveytime on the first floor I get a devoted knight that just pummels me. Spent all the money I made from doing T0's with your load out but this load out is not sufficient for T1.

Usually you do great guides, I'm still flying that Dominic of yours. But this one is just wrong. Any newbro that takes a solo T1 destroyer into T1 abyss is bound to loose it on the second run on average. Third, if they are extremely lucky. First, if they actually meet leshak, drecavac, 3 FFS devoted hunters, and lots of other things. For T0 destroyers are perfect, if you value comfort over income. And the income difference is not that great for T0 between destroyers and frigs. But for T1 Alphas would be better off if they take a Punisher or a Hookbill. And eventually Worm. It might seem more dangerous, but look at the Abyssal Lurkers portal and check the ratio of people soloing T1s in frigs and destroyers. And ask yourself - why?
