We should honor Caleb by keeping his spirit. As an Ironworker with local 433, I say we be welcoming, we don’t bring brothers down. We are ironworkers we build up, that should not just be buildings, but men. Iron sharpens iron and when Caleb was welcoming on that job, he was glorifying Christ, who by the looks of this video, he made a decision to turn his life over to, by proof of the baptism. I want to encourage you to glorify Caleb, by being welcoming to your brother Ironworkers. You never know whose life you will change.

I want to give my condolences although late. I came across this and i recalled so many many accident investigations i transcribed. Often i was in tears as the story came together. I retired a couple years ago. The iron workers had one of the hardest trades. My respects to his mates and family. RIP

The Trade needs more men like you Caleb , I’ve been getting flashbacks when we went through the apprenticeship together, you 433 and 12 for me . The pic of you on the phone in Josh’s house sent chills up my spine . RIP bro man

I can totally relate to this video. I lost my brother's on a job right up the street from the Wishire Grand. I wish I had photos like these. What a wonderful gift this tribute is. This is something that will be around forever. God bless to all of you that took part in doing this. Great Job!

With respect and condolences to Caleb Spain's family and all close to him. I worked alongside iron workers in Boston (1960's - 70's) blowing asbestos on newly assembled iron. One day from the ground looking up about 40 floors, I saw an iron worker standing on top of an outside corner column without lanyards or protection of any kind, just standing there waiting for a beam to swing down. He was just a spec on the iron. I'll never forget the sight reminding me of some of the toughest, hard-working, great men I've ever been with doing such a dangerous job.

I don’t think this is the guy who fell from Wilshire. In the articles it says he was a 24 year old electrician who was on his second day on the job. It also said the worker wasn’t supposed to be above the third floor.
