If you've ever seen the movie "District 9", you get an eerie sense of what the future could look like with tiny home villages (not the aliens). The intentions are good, but you're not solving the problems as to why they are homeless. People don't appreciate things given to them as much as them earning what they have. Homeless tiny homes are a WONDERFUL idea! I've worked with the homeless for quite a few years and virtually every homeless person I've worked with, want a home of their own, that they can lock the door and feel safe, most don't want to sleep on the streets, parks or tents but they feel they have no other choice. I hope the tiny home parks pop up all around the country and we can clean up the trash and tents.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and it’s sad seeing so many people become homeless including people I know. Good work by good people who care. So sad to see negative comments. The homeless situation in USA seems to be out of control, for many observers like myself it’s hard to understand how the wealthiest country in the world has this problem that many much poorer countries manage to avoid. Regardless of the reasons why it’s happened, it needs to be addressed and whilst tiny homes like these will only help a small percentage of the homeless it’s part of the solution and should be encouraged.

Its horrible that Los Angeles wastes 5mil and $7000 a unit when they did he same thing in Seattle for $200,000 plus $3000 retail per unit. With material and donated labor they were 1300 dollars a peice but the full real cost would be $3000 with the city paying less then $200,000 dollars per village. A couple of villages had to move when churches backed out but Seattle has added more since the 2019 problems. With the 5mil LA paid they could run 100s of units.

It is sad that as a society we have the stereotypes of homeless people and yet anyone can become homeless quite easily with what's happened with the pandemic. The rising cost of living that's happening makes me afraid more are gonna become homeless as well as those who just took advantage of the extra unemployment without looking for real work. In my eyes we need more tiny home villages all around every state for homeless and those who are wanting to get out on there own from living with their parents without paying their entire paycheck on rent as well as bills. Affordable tiny homes in safe made communities are great ways to help everyone haveva place to start from or start over from as well. There are millions of people who can benefit from tiny home communities and have them even become self sustaining like I've seen in other tiny home community vids. These need to be made all accross every state to help andmake even a few long term living for those who just want to live in a tiny home forever. Not just one village but many villages spread out accross every state.

I think the tiny homes for homeless with all resources located nearby away from downtown & residences would be a better solution. They can provide it as a transitional housing until they can find permanent housing. They would have there own community. They could also include a garden to provide food. Those who refuse to stay off streets could then be denied all services & if they pitched a tent then taken to jail for refusing services. Camping on the street should be illegal.
