+Bobby Reyes It depends where you live in L.A., I wouldn't necessarily call places like E. Los Angeles, Inglewood, Compton, Watts, etc. great places to visit or hang out for a night on the town. It's hard to distinguish the cities or areas as not being in L.A. specifically to the uninformed. L.A. rocks only in certain areas and most tourists will probably never see the run-down urban blight. It's like going on a vacation to Jamaica and all you see is the nice new resort but if you escape the confines of the secluded resort the truth will be shown - pure social depravity and economic woes.

Oh you're killing me. I had a few hours layover and was trying desperately to see the sign because I've wanted to so badly my whole life since I was a kid. But alas there was a lot of fog or smog and as I was rushing to get closer to see it I had to finally call it off to make my flight. Lol, oh well at least it was kind of an adventure.

We visited LA way back in October 1981 and really loved the whole experience. The fantastic weather, the laid back lifestyle, in fact the entire experience. We stayed just across the Chinese Theatre, at the Roosevelt Hotel. Back then, we were able to drive around Beverley Hills, and with the use of a book, were able to locate where the famous stars of the time lived. It was for me, truly a fantasy world of endless sunshine, and fantastic architecture. We also drove through the Mojave desert to Las Vegas, which back then was not as big as today, but impressive non the less, especially at night when all that neon came to life. We finished the trip driving down to The Grand Canyon, wow what an Awesome sight. You who live there, really appreciate where you are in the world, a world away from cold, wet, windy Britain.

I lost my heart in Southern California. It was my home for over 40 years and it is really insane how crowded the 1,500 square miles of Los Angeles County has become. The cost of living has also made it very hard to stay afloat in SoCal. The traffic has made it very stressful. The wonderful weather and the variety of foods are awesome. I had to leave early 2015 due to sudden loss of job and home. It is not a place to be homeless or broke. I lost my dear mother there to ALS and it changed my life forever. I am living in Utah now and I wish that I could go back but there is nowhere for me to stay. I do still miss and love LA County. There is good and bad everywhere. I hate the cold, the older I get the more I hate it. If you are lucky enough to live in LA County count your blessings.

During the summer time, it could be 60 degrees at the coast, and over 100 degrees just 20 miles inland in the valleys and desert. The whole area has differing climate and geographic zones. The mountains are always great to go to also, but I also love the desert landscape.

joe mamma Normally I wouldn't judge the city I live in. but I travel enough to be able to look at it without taking things for granted. with that being said unless you count universal studios which you shouldnt. it sucks. you may say the beach. but that's in Santa Monica not la also Hyperion the treatment plant for all of LA's shit water dumps in the bay which is also covered in trash. the people here are assholes to (I'm a good example.). Name anything in LA that's cool and it's either not actually in LA or it's only cool for a one time visit.

As someone who lives in the Los Angeles area, I must say that is one of the better tourist videos I've seen. You did a great highlight of the Getty Museum, yet you showed Malibu and not the Getty Villa, which was actually the original Getty museum, but now houses mainly Roman artifacts, I believe. You could have come into the San Fernando Valley and shown things like the San Fernando Mission and then gone out to Simi Valley and shown the Reagan presidential library. Those are definitely worthwhile if you have the time. Good video though!

@@Leg0456 very true. I’ve been there less than the Reagan library because I am in the west San Fernando Valley, of course, closer to Reagan library in Simi Valley, Ventura County. It is about 20 miles each way from here. The Nixon library is about 60 miles each way, but still well worth it. When we go to the Nixon library, On our way back to the San Fernando Valley, we usually include a lunch or dinner stop at the “ mrs. Knott‘s chicken dinner restaurant” at Knott’s Berry Farm. Haven’t been to the Regan or Nixon libraries, Or the chicken dinner restaurant in about 10 or 15 years now though. I need to do it again!

Tips for anyone coming to LA: 1) Spend at least three days here if you want to see "everything" (obviously, you can't ever see everything; hence the quotes). 2) Get ready to sit in traffic. A "routine" drive across the city can take an hour or more if the traffic is bad. Public transportation will only help if the destinations you're visiting are easily connected by rail lines. 3) Hit up LA's suburbs if you want a more "full" experience of local life. Each suburban town has its own unique flavors to add to the LA landscape. 4) If you want a really great "overhead" view, head to the San Gabriel Mountains north of LA and hope the city isn't blanketed by fog and/or pollution. On clear days, you can see all the way to Long Beach Harbor from some areas in the mountains.

I live in LA,here's some pros and cons of this city Pros -Wonderful amount of diversity in both people,and attractions -Great weather that's always perfect to go to the beach,or ride your bike -Awesome food!! -Pretty easy to get a job here -Lots of attractions,such as amusement parks,beaches,and shopping sites Cons -Don't expect a lot of white snowy winters,or bright,colorful falls,I know,it sucks -It gets pretty hot here in the summer -Hate to say it,but there are a lot of crimes that happen here Overall,if you want an easy,exciting,and successful life,move here

There's a bunch of snowflakes, and people are rude don't expect directions. People have that fuck you attitude. It's a good place to visit, but not live. Just letting you know in Cailforina our Second Amendment is restricted in the state of California so is our first amendment due to microaggressions and some snowflakes. It's a state that offers the most social programs why do you think there's a reason why so many people are unemployed and the property rate is so damn High because people want to live under the government and don't want to have a job! There is no reason for this California has one of the biggest growing economies in the United States there's no reason to not have a job. California is one of the most dangerous states this state needs a common sense gun reform. More guns equals less crime look at Utah and New hampshire amongst one of the lowest crime rates in the country. California is a sanctuary state illegal immigrants are coming to this country and using taxpayers money for goods and services! California has the most expensive you name it gas, car insurance, tags, housing, taxes oh you can't forget taxes did I mention taxes, and taxes!
