This song is relevant today and I fear that it will be relevant 50 years from today. The tensions that this song sprang from exist now and I have little to zero hope that our society can resolve these tensions any time in the near, or distant, future. When people protest against government actions and get met with a wall of police hoping for an excuse to use their tools of repression, the lack of any attempt at peaceful resolution will only lead to more clashes ad infinitum. Cynical but learned through experience. Goddamn

Wow this is so weird is that I’ve reworked this song just recently as a cover, much different and not as good as you guys! Last time does happen to me I had learned Dylan’s oh sister and then I caught some shows with the Black Crowes playing on the Further tour, and guess what song Chris debuted on tour? Oh sister! I think it was at that point I give up any hope of a music career until just recently but now maybe the nails are being hammered into a coffin ⚰️- ha! Love ya all, Luke
