I agree to an extent. Technically people could consider me an animal hoarder as I have 9 animals(3 hamsters 4 rabbits a crested gecko and a cat) but I take extremely good care of my animals, they all have proper diets, well above the bare minimum of space(ikea detolf for my hamster and the other two have huge bins, and my bunnies have their own room), so many toys and enrichment. If someone took my babies from me I would literally be devastated. I’ve spent well over $2000 in the last year at the vets. I love my babies. However I agree people like this person should be randomly checked.

Poor Babies. Glad they are safe now. One of my boys was rescued from a hoarding situation 3 years ago (almost 280 guinea pigs and rabbits). The previous owner was a former breeder and the whole situation went somehow out of hand...TWICE! The first time happened 6 years ago. Almost 260 guinea pigs and rabbits were rescued at that time and the lady was prohibited from owning any pets for the rest of her life. The vetarinary office checked on her regulary....but at some point the lady moved to a different city and the vetarinary office lost track of her until the second hoarding happened. It's sad and I really think these kind of people have some mental health issues and need help.
@erkheth4 жыл бұрын
Yes, hoarding certainly comes from mental illness. Though these people are troubled, they should really not be allowed pets. They can't handle their own life, not by their fault.

Awesome job everybody! Being in an industry where I have cared for dogs for so long, I can smell when dogs have allergy dermatitis or ear infection. Without looking through long fur, lifting up ear flaps, Looking under the tail, etc. it is a very distinctive smell and I can even tell how advanced/ what stage of healing it is in. When you see enough of it, you learn to assess the stage of that smell very fast. I wish only fantastic things for the futures of these beautiful piggies!

I saw you cut one pig where it looked like there was holes in the nails where the quick would have been. So here it is. How! I can only cut like 1/8" inch with out them crying and bleeding. There nails are always way to long because of it. On another front Thank you! You had a bonding with piggy video that made it so simple! Five minutes per pig advanced our bond more than I had managed to do in like a year! I still have work to do. You are a goddess among piggys.

I have lots of snakes, but they eat humanely killed frozen/thawed. Plus I wouldn't want to feed my guys any rodents that are beat up with open wounds. That's just asking for infections and parasites.
