Since I started using Facebook and Twitter once in awhile I've learned how terribly under educated so many people in our country are. We need to do something about that. We especially need civics and foreign policy classes from elementary school through college. Both need to be required courses.

MediCare for All??? What do you think? As an, and from a, ex-US serviceman...get your shit together America before it's too late.

I remember our 1960's generation selling out too. I thought we were evolving and had such high hopes. I couldn't believe they elected some dumb actor who didn't care about love, peace and ideals. Trickle down...and I wondered what happened to us too.I honestly thought we were evolving. I watched Reaganomics take us down to hell.

We need another FDR type President but he needs to be more inclusive. Unfortunately the new deal left a lot of Americans out, mostly POC but farmers and a few other groups. There was also the internment of Japanese Americans during the war.

If public servants are going to become lobbyist Bernie Sanders should finish his term then become a lobbyist for the lower and middle classes. With such a large number of us we could certainly fund a lobbyist of our own. It wouldn't have to be Bernie. I just can't think of anyone better for the job. Maybe Reverend Barbar or Dr. Cornell West.

The importance of good education is so necessary, can be seen from the wisdom professors impart on U tube etc. If these professors were in control of the world it would look so different. The crooks at the top should study under them. Instead their persecuted, lose jobs, their programs are cancelled, their countries and people are deprived of the knowledge they can bring to the masses.

That question toward the end about a generation being co-opted by the seduction of money is one that needs to be addressed. The desire for money and the ability to be seduced by it is bred by a system that does not offer alternatives. It is a systemic problem that I'd like to hear Robert Reich address at some point.

I don't feel much in the way of hope yet and I'm wondering what we teens can do to help make the system more equitable for everybody. My teachers aren't much help -- I started to talk about this video with my history teacher and all he said was, "Oh. That Commie." There's a lot of resistance to overcome.

Until we do something about our own country we have no business meddling in the affairs of other countries. Far too many Americans have slid into poverty with many living in 3rd world conditions. Our infrastructure is rated D-. The global oligarchy are hollowing the country out in their pursuit of profit at the expense of the country.

I agree rex Tillerson will buy his way out of his mess. Big money always beats the system. JUSTICE systems have been broken. Our government has always worked for the richest people. Just like president Trump said that he could walk out on fifth Avenue and shoot someone and get away with it. And he is doing just that. Our government is broken. How is it where the banks have played Russian roulette with our financial system get away without going to prison for what thay have done .credit cards should not be away to support anyone's credit. If there is a sale at a store and we don't have the money it shouldn't be put on a credit card period. Thay have sceemed all of us into using credit cards.you don't have it you don't boy it.

Towards the end when they were discussing participation and putting lives on the line they failed to acknowledge the sacrifices in the early 1900's of the striking workers that faced government machine guns fighting for the rights of labor... Just a thought....

We all know that who ever wins as president nothing will change. Both Democrats and Republicans used ileigle labore to bring down pay rates and take away all that the labore movement had won. Both parties have hurt our economy. Now there coming after our social security. Thay took away our health care from work places. But health care system is a right for all Americans. Not anymore we the people have to pay .and are not allowed to right that cost off on our taxes. Our mortgages we can't right off taxes the upkeep of our homes we can't right off taxes. So now both party's whent to fix what'. It's all broken. Bill Collins said thay want everything that we gained threw the labore laws back. The American workers are being over taxed because the 1 percent doesn't want to pay there fair share.

46:30 The disdain in this man's voice and the spiteful nature of his question is appalling. He seems offended that Secretary Reich, man who observes and speaks to each successive generation one class year at time, would have the nerve to suggest that this generation was at as politically active as those of the 60's. He seems aware that in only a matter of a few years that his generation went from being very socially conscious to very selfish but, I don't really think he grasps the negative impact those that were on the college campuses in the 60's has had on this world. It's amazing to me that someone who is clearly very proud of what they did when they werebin their 20's so obviously has no time to listen to the young adults of today.

People are born into the world with massive inequality - inequality of talent, inequality of skill, inequality of ambition, etc. Why are people surprised and dismayed that all that natural inequality leads to inequality of income and wealth??
