Great video! I bought one as soon as they went on sale, & it's been sitting ever since, while I recover from injuries from a fall (don't recover quickly at 70 YO). I'll break it in using your procedures.

I had such a rough time with that Revo 3.3, almost didn’t get another Nitro. This Losi made tuning so easy I’m glad I bought. Love the steering response, and acceleration. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy that new RC.

I have a Revo 3.3 that is giving me fits! I'm thinking about replacing the carb, or whole engine. Thanks for the kind words!@@redbanditracing

Just bought one a few months ago after the sale… Just did a full-break in video series. She runs strong and can turn on a dime! Impressed!

This has been a very easy nitro to learn with. Haven’t had any tuning issues.

Awesome video getting one of these soon really appreciate the detail you put in showing us how to break it in. Question so u don’t have to richen the top end when running it right ? I think you just leaned it out a bit ?. And did you lower the idle with the remote or the idle screw ? Thanks again !
@redbanditracing9 ай бұрын
During the idling two tanks I didn’t half to adjust much it was already pretty rich. During Tank 1-5 I was leaning it out on the HS needle an hour at a time to raise the temps it was running cool. I was adjusting the idle with the remote, the idle trim knob was at 3/4. So I adjusted the idle screw slightly to get that idle trim knob back to center ( the zero mark on knob). Since it was accelerating nice I didn’t half to adjust the LS needle much. Thank you for watching

I got one also when it went on sale, I’m a Traxxas guy but this is my 1st nitro and I’m having a blast with it! Easy tuning makes nitro fun

Glad to find out it wasn’t just mine taking forever with that pull start haha
@redbanditracing7 ай бұрын
It’s now on the 12th tank, much easier to start. It helps to increase the throttle trim on first startup.

I've had a love/hate relationship with nitro Just looked online for one of these didn't see it. not on A main at least Are they discontinued? Thats the problem with nitro now. Parts support. Only company still good for that is of course Traxxas. Seen your videos on the Revo and the problems you've had. I didn't have quite the same problems you guys did when I had mine. Thinking of going the Traxxas route. Its becoming the only decent option for nitro parts support right now. T maxx looks really good. No opti-drive nonsense and already forward only
@redbanditracingАй бұрын
Tekno still has support, and most places carry parts. But that’s the thing with Traxxas, everyone carries their parts. Just make sure you break it in the Losi method we used. The way Traxxas has you do it, puts a lot of strain on the motor.

@ thanks for the reply. Saw a Kyosho I may take instead. The Neo 3.0. Looks good. Most likely more reliable than the Traxxas.
