Losi Mini-T 5200kv vs 7800kv brushless comparison + new esc 4k

In this video i run 2 and 3 s on the 5200kv and 7800kv Hobbywing motors, the Fly sky radio i had in this review is garbage and would nooooot reccomend. The 5200 is a really good setup for the mini-t the 7800 is a little overkill for any kind of normal driving. Probably 2 years too late but regarding your installation of the front bumper, you have to remove the little skid plate under the pivot block before installing the new bumper. Then it goes right on. No dremel needed. Good vid

I suggest getting the Flysky FS-GT3B or GT3C/3CE Transmitter. Around like $44-$50 for the RX/TX set. Its digital, versus the your Analog Flysky TX. Have way more tuning parameters and if u flash the firmware on it, it opens up waaaay more tuning options, 63 model memory, goes from 3 channel to 8 channel, and all the abs, braking, end points, exponentials, and more tuning options, and the RX is Micro sized so mucj smaller and would be easier to mount it with the limited options on mini t. Also. Grab a cellphone holder for like $7 or $8 on ebay, u can attach it to the transmitter right above the battery compartment. Easier to record

Yep that 7800kv is 😲. I've lined the inside of the body shell with duct tape to reinforce. Duct tape worked for Matt Damon in 'The Martian' aye 😜. Useful vid cheers.

Feck these budget transmitters are a minefield. The gt3c seems to have range issues also. GT5 looks a lot better but over complicated for me. Don't like the only place to get these flyskys here is on eBay. Prefer having a legit store so can return with probs. Started looking at an RTR transmitter from Kyosho (Kyosho deal with FlySky) KT331P transmitter with KR331 receiver. Not the smallest receiver but doable (building a perspex platform) Used in Kyosho kits like their mp9e. Watched reviews and they getting good response and 'range' with them. Whatya think?

i stick with my 2s for now. I ,ike my car still too much for that. LOL. and im not rich,, cuz you deff gonna make some damage.. the 7800kv still is fast enough with that 2S. Also don't make the car steer so deep with such high speeds.. 3 s and 7800kv asks for a smoother trim. ;) also some better and wider flat tarmac would help.. and the little program card from exrun. Set the drag brake to minimum. that little thing is so much faster then setting it up this way..

I run that same esc with a 4800 cheap Chinese motor and a traxxas tsm receiver to help keep it going the way i want it to lol thing screams on 3s. I run a gens ace 1400 50c 3s, doesn't fit under the mini b body so I tape it down with a piece of foam over it lol

Heyy another question, if you know, most traxxas front lift up when you go full throttle, i cant see it that is also by this truggy, do the nos lift up or dont it lift up?

The nose doesnt lift much with stock power with a brushless the nose raises quite a bit on both the mini t and pre runner and both can wheelie given enough throttle

I put the surpass hobby 7200kv and esc combo in mine but my throttle and stearing is all backwards any recommendations like do I need that memory card for that? Awake vid by the way subbed

If your supass hobby esc comes with a manual try to find a way to reset it and program the values again via the manual, i dont have the surpass hobbies esc so idk if theyre any different than hobby wings way of resetting

You need a new radio and the motor and an esc dynamite makes a 6000 kv motor combo thats plug and play for 60 bucks I got a cheap radio for 40

Where did you buy pinion for 2030 motor or what's the spec's for pinion pitch and diameter oh do your motor have flat side on shaft because I have two motors like yours but one dont have flat side on shaft the one with flat side I had to make stock pinion bigger

It depends how long you run it, what pinion and what battery 2s or 3s but the motor can heat up and get really hot yes

@@dgitalchaos youd be suprised the 5200 is ample speed, on 3s it rips probs 3x faster then stock. Keep in mind the 7800kv is crazy power... like ontap wheelie flip over power at any speed... but on 2s more fun for sure. The 5200kv on 2s would be g for kids on 3s its enough for fun.. and some. The vid didnt contrast it well that being said so i could see why one would choose the 7800kv but to each their own everyones tea is a lill different!

@@savagepaul- o maybe sounded like your programming w the button sequence too that doesnt always work right the easiest most reliable way to program any hobbywing esc is with the card and it does look like lowends better w that esc but those motors are still 2pole so it still cogs slightly look into the surpass 7200kv and 8200kv 2430 motors theyre 4 pole and far smoother lowend
