LOSI PRO-MOTO SERVO UPGRADES!!!!

We take our Losi Pro-moto and we change the steering servo to our Raw 500. We replace the brake servo with our Micro 99.

So, where do you get the micro adapter for the brake servo? I bought the micro 99 and horn, no adapter? Please explain. Plus this servo is bigger than the stock one, deeper - is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

I'm not sure what you are referring to for micro adapter. the 99 horn we use our shorty micro horn and the cable stop is in the description. it is slightly longer but will fit without an issue.

@@reefsrc I am referring to the stock brake servo horn, it's 20t the 99 servo is a 25t. Also, the stock servo is smaller, the 99 is deeper by 5mm, this was never mentioned in the vague video for your product. Is there a spacer you sell as well or adapter to make the servo fit in the limited space in the losi promoto? Please advise. Thanks.

Front Caliper is dragging too much yet. Lengthen the brake cable just a smidge. Let the front wheel free spin.

We have done that, it's still not great the treal caliper eliminates all of that.

@@reefsrc it eliminates most of the sticky caliper, I have two of them. But adding just a smidge of length of the cable will allow the front wheel to free spin. Yours is dragging alot. Like riding around with 1/2 the brake on

No changes at all, it was plug and play for us.

That would be the speed of the servo not keeping up with the gyro corrections. Make sure that the servo exceeds 10kg!

I ordered a micro 99 to do the same thing but it is to deep (27.5mm/stock is 22.7mm) to fit proper in the servo mount? You didn't mention anything about that in the video. Did you do something to make it fit and not mention it? Thanks.

No we tightened it and its slightly too large, it fits well enough for the small size servo. We have had no issues running it like this, and have several people running the Micro 99 in the pro moto

I used 4mm spacers and mine works well, thanks. It seems there is no way to adjust servo end points with the Spektrum controls. I was told I can set end points on the Raw 500 with your programmer, is this correct? Thanks.@@reefsrc

Ok the reefs is a little longer than the stock? So how did you get it to fit because i bought one to do this set up on mine?

It's been a minute but i think we spaced it forward, or there was enough room behind the mount for the servo to fit.

You can use the stock mount and just leave the threads out like 2-3 mills. It’s working great for us.

Struggling with Reefs 99 installation on the servo mount - alignment issues and servo horn contacting the body panel. The video lacks detail; a close-up view of the servo installation would be beneficial.

I will try and get a closer shot of the install. The servos 5mm longer than stock. Did you use our shorty horn or long horn? We aren’t having it hit the fairing.

I just tried to install a 299LP and was running into the issue where the horn was tight against the servo saver. Any advice on what i may have did wrong and anything i should look for?

I was able to install the 299LP but it seems like the spline on the servo is to far back and is causing the servo saver to interfere and bind up on the steering horn

Is the 500 Raw too much of a power for the bike? Is the 299LP would be more than sufficient? Is the 299LP also comes with the replacement adapter?

I have swapped using the same servo, however the steering was backwards. I swapped the steering using the receiver switch. However the bike's gyro based steering is still unreversed... This means when I lean the bike right, the bike front wheel turns right which slams the bike down to the ground. Have you run into this?

servo needs to be programmed to "normal" setting.. Not via transmitter as the gyro still thinks right well is right. IE: reversed servo via transmitter will not work. Trust me, I have tried. Working on a solution right now.

@@PricemoSC horizon hobby told me that the receiver is self calibrating and cannot be calibrated. They are asking the inventor if it’s possible to swap the gyro steering. What I did instead was purchase a cheap servos signal reverser and it works.
