I have gens ace batteries with the wires coming out of the top of the pack. Are you able to use batteries like that or do they have to have wires coming out of the back of the battery

This Super Baja Rey is really a BEAST. Lots of torque agile and speed. But....with a 20mm hex, there is no other choices on tires. Unless you change the 20mm hex for a 24mm hex or a 17mm hex. Losi PLEASE do something about this.

Wow...I was so hyped for this thing and that battery connection location just ruined it for me, great way to have your wires get shredded on a rock or just disconnected from a hard landing.....is the 1/10 the same?...

I have the sbr and the regular baja rey. I have beaten, thrashed, pumbled, and jumped these things higher and farther than an rc is meant to go. I have broke many things, but the battery plugs have never came loose. Also never had a battery wire show any signs of damage.

I got mine thee weeks ago. Im telling you, Im runing it on 6s HV HD batteries. The thing is so powerful and too much torque.... It get no traction even on asphalt. I need better tires. Any recomendations on that?

I was able to fit 2-3s 6700mah packs. Super snug but it fits.

I use XT90 connectors on all my batteries. Is it possible to change the cars connectors to other types or do we need adapter cables?

I have to made adaptor to use my XT90 to baja Ray .XT90 to EC5 you can made one not bad

Don't see anything stopping the batteries from being jostled around inside the compartment. Could also see those connectors coming out from a hard landing, flip, or getting snagged; especially that jumper one.

ScytheNoire there is foam spacers for the batteries dont move around.

Why is the battery compartment too short. Almost none of my batteries will fit, 3s 4s 5s 6s all too long to fit BUT there's almost an inch of empty space in front that could have been utilized to accommodate almost any size battery. And the 6s (which is the longest) fits in my UDR no problem with needing foam at the end.

Can it actually run on 8s? The manual says nothing about it not being able to do it but I noticed you didn't have 8s in this video

no it cant go to 8s stock.the esc cant handle it

The esc is the same as the dbxl-e. It is 8s capable, but the motor isn't recommend for 8s.

It works fine, hobbyshops have been testing that an the motor should be fine. You might get a smaller pinion if you plan on running 8s only.

I can see a stick getting lodged in the battery wires and ripping them out.Should be all inclosed like the udr.

Ya but your locked into those connections. How about give us an option on what connectors we like to use.

You aren't really locked into them the housing they are in can be removed and you simply modify to fit your connector

I got this car and also got the Baja Rey 2 1/10. What a waiste of money. I notice Losi cars are not that strong, they are built to give extraordinary performances in speed but they're not robust enough to support all that. My Baja Rey 1/10 and my Super Baja are just two examples (connectors blown, the connector cables disconnected by the heat, the tyres just destroyed). I won't buy anymore Losi for sure. Now i will buy the tyres again but will put it on ebay and go back to other brands that offer better quality.

Traxxas UDR looks way better then TLR ! Just a smaller version from the Losi 5ive and for 800.00 bucks .Battery location hmm I guess will find out soon if its good or bad on both Baja .Going to wait and see from real reviews from owners before I shell out $$$$$

That has to be THE dumbest spot for a battery plug in.... The bottom of the chassis where are the sticks... rocks and what ever else we can find can rip the connectors right out...Too bad. That's a deal breaker for me.. Just lost interest in this truck :(

I have the rock Rey and I never had a problem with the connections being there. Trust me, it's not a problem and the battery compartment with the door is great as well.

hmmmm the Losi is 15% bigger, has a true to life 4 piece body and LED lights front and back... oh wait - the UDR has lil plastic fire extinguishers....lol

Korbinian Bauer u obviously have t seen the direct comparison. If you did - you would regret your decision. You are also incorrect - the UDR does not have 8 shocks at all. Dampers are not shocks. Besides that - the chassis is plastic and that says it all. The drivetrain of the Losi says it all. Not falling for the typical traxxas bullshit.

julian dodds im from germany. My english skills are bad XD i like the udr more. In my opinion the udr looks more realistic. Of cousre the losi is a great car but not for me.

Yeaaaaaaaaah........ 6s doesn't cut it for me. I will be ditching that esc and motor to run 8s just like in my 6iX and DBXL-E.

A No I'm not a moron, why? Because I have already went through 3 of those so called 8s capable esc's in 2 different vehicles before the Rey even released. The esc is (rated) for 8s, but cannot run on 8s for extended periods of time as I have already proven. I now run esc's that are actually capable of withstanding 8s for long durations. Reading the manual has nothing to do with the obvious issue that the FUZE has.

A Lmao you just don't get it do You? Of course it runs fine in the Xmaxx!! It's not not a 1/5 or 1/6 vehicle!! If I could post pics here I would show you all 3 invoices from Horizon for each FUZE esc that they replaced for me. I have nothing to gain from lying. I know what I'm doing and I know what I'm talking about, especially having 33 years of experience in the hobby. Just go away kid!!

I think you have to make yourself some foam blocks to keep the batteries in place.

If running two packs they fit perfectly snug. In my package they gave me a foam block the size of a 5.0 3s battery to fill the space if only runny one battery.
