@@shaybee6893hi there , so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and that you feel so discouraged. Please hang in there and take small -baby steps. I pray you receive your breakthrough. I also have lipedema and I am embracing my body and helping it heal one step at a time. I’ve committed to carnivore for 90days as per Dr Ken Berry advise, so far NAFLD is gone, diabetes levels has improved drastically and I’m hoping to see weight loss results as well. Our bodies have a lot of internal healing to process before moving to weight loss which ultimately affects lipedema and lymphedema appearance. Some have seen amazing results with diet and exercise and I am not keen on the surgery until I try all I can natural way. I pray you be healed of your conditions and see the results you so desire, very soon.🙌🏽🌈💜

Yes, "most people" are in terrible condition, and their health is being ruined thanks to the horrific kabuki and lies from Big Pharma, Big Ag, our government lies about what is a PROPER HUMAN DIET IS OR ISNT. Grocry strores are in on it too.. what ever makes them the most money.. I did merchandizing for a few years.. and I watched the "snack/garage" isle grow to the monster it is now.. I can also tell you that EVERYTIME I go shopping.. I purposefull look at watch that isle.. and without fail.. it always has the most traffic over all other isles. The 2nd most traveld area is the Bakery where all the break, cakes, treats are.. IT'S AMAZING.. We dont need flours or grains of any type, shape or form, and we definitely dont need sugar and high carb foods. Personally... I think Dr. Chaffee is correct about plant toxins as well. so..Enjoy a good steak ... everyday... is my motto.

I started the carnivore diet due to diabetes, kidney failure, and a host of other health problems, but I live with two family members that also had health issues and one of them was a major sugar addict. We decided as a household to start the diet together and that began with throwing out all carbs and sugar ingredients (all unopened packages were donated to a local community group). With only the carnivore foods in the household it was easier, but still difficult to stay away from sugar. At first every commercial on tv reminded us of what we use to eat, but now I see all of that as killer foods. What I was eating was killing me slowly. We don't eat out, we go home to eat to stay away from temptation, and as I dropped weight and reversed the diabetes and kidney failure, I told myself over and over that I was not only healing, but saving my own life. I was doing that, not medication, not a transplant, not another person was saving my life, "I" was the one who was saving my life by fighting the urge to do the easy thing and eat the foods that are not only addictive, but cause cravings, and lead to major health problems. The sugar addict in the family is having a more difficult time, but she says it's so much easier to know there's nothing in the pantry or refrigerator to quickly grab. We threw out the sugar and carbs and we cook loads of meat ahead of time so we can have plenty of food and a variety on hand for meals. We also thought that we couldn't afford the carnivore diet, but once you stop buying carbs, sugar, and sauces with sugar we found that we now spend less on groceries. We only drink water and coffee, and we just hit our first year anniversary on the carnivore diet. We all dropped weight and reversed medical issues, while discovering that skin problems and irritable bowel syndrome was flaring up from sugar, carbs, fruit, and vegetables. We eat the carnivore diet but I don't think of it as a diet, I think of it as a life change. I had to make the choice to change my life and stop killing myself slowly.

"Everyone is not doing it." - that really resonates with me. There are 3 slim ladies in a club I'm in and the rest are mildly to outright overweight. Guess what the 3 slim ones have in common? They don't eat the desserts that are put out at the club meetings. They don't talk about it in front of the others, but, in private, they have told me they avoid sugar. If you see someone who is middle aged and slim, there's a good chance they purposefully avoid processed food and sugar!

I'm a 62 yr old male and I am a sugar/carb addict. I've been full carnivore for 8 weeks now but before that, I was a fairly low carb, keto guy. But until I went FULL carnivore, I didn't realize the freedom that you get from your cravings. It not just the "no cravings." It's the FREEDOM from them! Don't just think of it as just carnivore. Think of it as freedom from cravings. You will have the power, you will be in control. Keto was good to me. I lost almost 60 lbs. doing keto. But I would put back on 10, then 15, then 20 lbs. Then lose it again, up and down, over and over. Going carnivore allows you to control your sugar/carb addiction. I work for a national overnight delivery company. I deliver to all kinds of medical offices, Urgent Care's, pharmacies. THEY ARE PACKED every day. Keep CHOOSING your food choices. Carnivore is worth it. Our health is priceless. As a mother of a severe drug addict, I have learned so much on this journey with him. I do not have an addictive personality but have learned to empathize with those that do. I do not think food addiction is treated seriously enough. People think they just need more willpower etc. I honestly think some people need to spend time in addiction groups or go to rehab in order to understand and overcome their addiction to food and view it as a drug addict would. It can be as serious and overwhelming. An addict is an addict, whether it’s weed, heroin, food, pornography. Stop feeling guilty and shameful and out of control and get some help.
@w1975b5 ай бұрын
I understand what you're saying, but people as a whole need to stop calling plants food. And the plants are what most people have problems with being addicted to (think chips, crackers, bread, pastries, cookies, pasta - mostly grains and sugar from sugar beets or sugar cane). The only animal product that contains any amount of sugar is dairy (milk mainly). Butter, cheese don't contain much. So everyone needs to agree on the definition of food and stop calling things food which aren't. They are at best edible products, that won't unalive you immediately. Regular ice cream is a combination of what some could consider real food (milk - some people don't have health issues from consuming it, others do) and sugar, flavorings from plants if not artificial. My point with the previous sentence is pointing out that people are mostly addicted to plants (and for those of us who know, not real food).

Kelly is the beacon of light that brought me safely to the harbour of Carnivore. I was lost in the darkness and torment of metabolic syndrome. I was a 57 year old heart attack waiting to happen. Then I saw her with Dr Berry, "Woman Eats Only Meat For 13 Years". My life has gone from Hell to Hope. No more T2D, weight gone from 293lbs to 200lbs, waist from 44 to 38, triglyceride smashed from dangerously high to low. One frustrating side show is that the money minded mainstream medical industry seems less than delighted. My "cholesterol" is high. The drug pushers tried to sell me statins! The reverse psychology says that as Carnivores our "cholesterol" has returned to a healthy level. The carb munchers and statin users have artificially low levels. So thank you Kelly Hogan, ❤ you for the rest of my time on earth. Thank you Dr Berry and a very special thank you to Dr Benjamin Dunlap who saved Kelly's life 🙏

Hi Kelly! You’re the first person (YT channel) I gravitated toward on this journey. I love your videos! I developed costochondritis last October and it took me a month to figure out what it was. I had been coughing for a few weeks when it started. I’m a dental hygienist (almost 30 yrs) and discovered it started in my upper back since my muscles were full of adhesions from my career. I used a back pod to help, but it never really went away and got worse when I ate high inflammatory foods! I thought I was having a heart attack! Then I couldn’t hardly breathe and I even thought I might have some sort of cancer, even though it had begun abruptly. I did a 3 day water fast and afterward I omitted the sugar foods, opting for fattier meats (which I love anyway) and some veggies and it went away. Alleluia! I’m down 8 pounds in a week and feeling so much better! Only 60 to go 😁

That’s ok… tomorrow is another day, right? Don’t beat yourself up over making a mistake along your way of adopting/following a Proper Human Diet (which for me is Ketovore, 95% carnivore). Cutting out all sweet tastes in your diet is something that really helped Kelly (and me!) on our health journey. If you are like me and Kelly, we can not moderate sugar, carbs and anything that tastes sweet (like diet sodas, artificial sweeteners, etc) and have to completely abstain from these sweet tasting things or we will fail. If you are also a sugar/carb addict like me and Kelly, and you can’t moderate, then PRO-ACTIVELY CHOOSING to abstain from eating or drinking these things that will only end up sabotaging your efforts and ultimately negatively affect your short and long term health and well being. YOU ARE THE DRIVER OF YOUR OWN WAGON!! WE ARE NOT VICTIMS, WE ARE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend you watch another great KZbin channel called “imperfect carnivore UK”. Her channel is dedicated to people like us who are not perfect and sometimes fall off the carnivore or ketovore wagon and want a safe place where they are not judged as being less than perfect in the way they do these Proper Human Diet lifestyles. I hope this helps you and for God’s sake… please put down that cake and (as Kelly used to do), throw it in the trash and cover it liberally with dish soap!! 😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🐑🥓🐷🍤🐠🌹

Making gradual conscious changes and having systems in place to support you work better than vague goals . 1.Start by not going grocery shopping on an empty stomach (for me that's a must). 2.Reframe what sugar is , think of it as poison in your body. 3.If you're in a situation where you have meals with family focus on eating protein first. For me I started eliminating sugary sodas and replacing them with carbonated water. Not having trigger foods in the house if you can avoid buying them at all. Potato chips and junk food in general I can't buy them because I know I won't stop at just one. I try to follow a keto diet, combined with intermittent fasting which for me is not eating after 8 pm. Trial and error figure out what works for you . I started 7 months ago , I've been a sugar addict my entire life so I'm not going to lie and say it was easy.I still struggle with making better food choices and I still let go of the reigns sometimes however I try to get a hold of them before the wagon careens over the cliff. There's a saying "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. You're going to get there just remember it's a life long journey, you got this 😊

I had Costochondritis & boils ( Hidradenitis Suppuritiva (HS) ) too. I was prescribed all sorts of strong meds over a 15 year period that never really worked. None of my doctors asked me what I was eating. Now I'm in HS remission from a low carb diet. No drugs needed. ❤ I hate that there are so many people out there with HS who have no idea how easy it is to fix it. Thanks for all the videos. You're an inspiration! I cried when I realised I had to give up sugar and carbs but I don't even miss them now. I'm not missing out...I'm living my best life!❤

You just described me. I'm struggling with life right now and have started emotional binging again. The stress of something going on in our life right now has me out of control. I keep telling myself I restart today, then I fail. I fell off three weeks ago because we were in the hospital for my husband's emergency procedure. Now we are in recovery mode. I am a stress/emotional eater and sugar addict. I needed this reminder.

I also attributed my sugar to addiction.. I hear people say their cravings are gone after a week or a month.. mine never left.. until now over a year later. I came across a lady named Julia Ross. She learned that addiction can be cured by replacing amino acids we are deficient in. I'm trying it for about a month now and a long with a whole list of other benefits, my cravings are not overpowering now. I thought about your channel. I wanted to share this with you because I've never heard anyone on your show mention it. I think they are just as unaware as I was. I hope this helps people.

1998, I bought about 15 clearance boxes of Rice Crispy Treats. I was in my 20s, my daughter was summer vacationing with my parents and I was at home alone after work. I opened one treat and ate it. After that, I went through BOX after BOX and I literally could NOT STOP. It is an event I will never forget. I must have eaten at least 50 rice crispy treats

I have had costochondritis. It feels like you've been folded in half. I also have had sacroiliitis, inflammation of the cartilage between your spine and your pelvis, it is not fun either! Once I reduced the carbs, all of the inflammation in my cartilage went away. I do sometimes make terrible choices, but every day that I don't make bad choices, I am proud of myself. Days that I make bad choices, I try really hard to forgive myself and let myself start again RIGHT NOW. Not tomorrow morning, not later today, NOW. It's hard, but so totally worth it. You don't have to be 'perfect' to feel better. The closer to 'perfection' you are, the better you feel!

Kelly Hogan... I love you so much!.... Over five and a half years ago I saw your Interview with Bio Hacker.... You changed my life in that moment... I started Carnivore in October of 2018, and have had so many health benefits, I could write a book about my own results... BUT... my carb addiction tripped me up over and over... I thought I could have just one lunch at a restaurant and go back to strict Carnivore... but that does not happen... Eating one teaspoon of any carbs, for me, is just like an alcoholic having just one drink... No, it does not work... 95% Carnivore does not work... So... I keep going and keep trying to keep to 100 % Carnivore... and for me, it doesn't even work to add pork, bacon, ham, eggs, cream, cheese, chicken... No I get pain and plugged up ears from those and headaches... If I keep to only beef and lamb and salt I have no pain or headaches, and that is very hard for me to afford on a very limited Senior's pension. I still am Obese Class 2 with needing to lose over 34% of my body weight. Even with weeks of strict Carnivore, I do not lose any weight... It gets very disheartening. One of these days I will write that I have had success on the scale as well as all the other benefits. I refuse to give up... I am worth it!... I am a 55 inch tall 78 year old living on Northern Vancouver Island where a medium size beef rib steak costs $29.00... My food budget is $15.00 per day. I need a Patron... A little addition here: I don't have a normal metabolism. In the past, I went for one full year on eating less than 1000 calories per day. I ate salads, fruit, cottage cheese and meats. After one full year I had lost 30 pounds. Then a death in my family and I ate the same way, but added popcorn with butter and gained it all back within 6 weeks. I have been dieting one way or another for the past 35 years, rarely ever leaving my house as I am so ashamed for people to see how fat I am. Right now I am 25 pounds lighter than I was 35 years ago, but still need to lose 34% of my body weight.

As an older woman, my metabolism slowed down (after menopause) as yours has. So , walking is essential. So is not caring what others think about you. After all your health, and happiness depends on you walking every day, multiple times a day, and eating meat. $15 a day will get you ground beef, I’m guessing 2 lbs. worth. You could eat 1 lb in one day and, the next day with your $15 you could buy eggs and butter and finish that second lb of ground beef with your eggs cooked in butter. The third day buy another 2 lbs of ground beef for more burgers ( remember that Kelly ate mostly hamburgers, initially) and so on… You can do this just: Buy ground beef Eggs and butter Walk every day, several times a day Put your health first, & don’t care what others think. Best wishes for you❤️

Hope it helps someone struggling with sugar addiction or any other addiction 😊

I’m there now. I did over 100 days carnivore… started on 12/7 and made it through Xmas as well as my b-day in Feb. Then in late March I was left alone with my special needs son for a few days while my wife and other child went to FL on spring break. I made it one day before I caved to stress eating. He’s a wonderful little boy but he also had behavior issues that I have a very hard time dealing with. By the time they returned I was eating a pure sugar / junk food diet and I’ve been there nearly a month now. Trying to get back to it today again.

@@CarnivoreNanaI'm a Nana too! Day 34 of carnivore. Taking it day by day. Try covering your steak in butter instead of steak sauce. It's delicious! I keep softened butter on my counter in a butter dish. I usually use about a tbsp of butter on my steak, or pork chop, or burger patty, or venison steak. As to coffee, I use the heavy whipping cream and froth it up with one of those small battery operated mixers and then add my coffee in...as well as a pinch of salt, a dash of salted caramel sugar-free coffee syrup and then mix. It's delicious. I may, at some point, have to give coffee up if I get in a bad stall. Time will tell. But I drink a full bottle of water in the morning before coffee. I'm also trying to drink my electrolytes during the day and more water. Keep going! Stay consistent. It will happen.

For the people struggling to stick with it: I could not do it strict like these YTers cold Turkey right out of the gate. For me, it’s been much better to do it gradually. Substitute white rice for pasta and find a clean bread without seed oils and have it only sparingly. My husband and I are doing usually two carnivore meals per day and carbs in the form of rice with one meal. I think Dr Saladino and Dr Salisbury (over 100 years ago) are correct that vegetables are toxic but fruit is good. So we are doing raw milk and fruit. Dr Salisbury said make meat 80% of your diet with a slice of bread (which would have been very different in the 1800s!) and some fruit. Dr Salisbury said “vegetables only as a relish” (meaning seasoning!). This is working for me and keeping me from reverting to junk. And as time goes on (and we get more grocery budget!) we may keep whittling it down more and more in the direction of carnivore.

Great timing. I've been keto then carnivore for just over two months. I had a gallbladder attack a few days ago, and it made me scared of fat, so I switched to eating just lean protein. Little fat, low carb. I was eating shrimp, fat free Greek yogurt, chicken breast, skim milk, etc. this was of course very unsatisfying, and I started to eat some carbs, and then had a little sugar binge one night. I've felt so frustrated and discouraged, but today I'm back to eating carnivore, although I'm going slow with the fat for now, as far as consuming the extra butter, heavy cream etc. So far, no extra pain today. Went for a 4km walk. Drinking electrolytes, and feeling much more hopeful now! I prayed for strength and encouragement so I thank the Lord for your video today.
