If you think you have CIRS, but you aren’t able to afford the treatments, eating a carnivore diet while also getting extra sun exposure and eating omega 3s (seafood!) does help some people to feel relief from symptoms. Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. And if none of that gets your symptoms to go away, PLEASE know that there are ways to make the Shoemaker protocol more doable. This actually made me cry. I prayed so hard last night for God to please tell me if I am crazy to keep eating this way- I have been going since Jan. 24.... But yesterday I broke. I have gained 10 lbs since starting. So dejected. Then, due to a stressful medical emergency I got stuck at the hospital with my poor Mom. I had no chance to prepare a meal or leave to even get burger patties. When I say I broke- I ate $20 dollars worth of vending machine cookies, crackers & chocolates. Today I literally feel crippled in my feet and my back HURTS. I know I poisoned myself. Sigh- so I prayed hard last night. This morning this was the first thing I seen. I know it was an answer. You are very kind to encourage people. Thanks! ❤

I understand, I bought myself sugar free jerky to keep in my purse. It is my emergency rations kit. Another great tool is thinking of the unavailability of meat as unplanned intermittent fasting. Just tell yourself you always wanted to dive in, and now you have. Our first 72 hour fast started by accident because we were out and busy and neither of us likes to eat later in the day. It was far easier than I ever thought it would be.

This is possibly the most powerful message I have heard in my 1.5 years of carnivore. And I needed it so bad. So bad. I’m sitting here tearing up because I’m in that white line between the photos and it sucks. But it’s also good. I just got back from a beach vacation and stayed 90% carnivore. I did not have any sugary things at all. First time EVER!! I did have a few veggies and some tortilla chips so I wasn’t perfect but the significance of not having anything dessert like is enormous. And it was hard. I had a meltdown mid week grieving over it. But I stuck with it. I still have 80 lbs to lose but I’m just sticking with it. Thank you Kelly for all your messages but especially this one. 💚🥩

Thank you for great video and I wish to take this opportunity to acknowledge the inspiration and information you have provided me to begin a totally different journey in life in January 2023. My wife had lost her battle with several health issues a few months earlier and I repeatedly saw the message on KZbin alerting me to your conversation with Dr. Berry. I had hit A1C diabetic level and doctor was preparing to write scripts for medication and I declined and instead opted for meat instead of carbs. In three months A1C was normal and weight was dropping and was feeling so much better. During the holidays my progress was reversed, and I regained weight and suffered the worst depression of my life. Realized I needed to resume my journey and this weekend enjoying my 84th birthday, down 55 pounds, and feeling better than I have in many years with so many health issues gone. Thanks once again for all you do.

I have had TWO very long stalls, a 1 year and a 2 year stall, so I completely understand! I would always think about how far I had come, how I could not bear going backward and how I knew this would work for me because I kept watching the success stories. I also reminded myself that healing is sometimes invisible to us, happening inside, all the switches being flipped back to their normal positions. I envisioned the gears all turning more freely inside my body and it sustained me. Not having to fight hunger 24/7 was the best thing along with the body reshaping that would occur without any sign of it on the scale. I wish I could stay more purely carnivore because I know that the last ten pounds would likely melt off if I removed the tablespoon of heavy cream and stevia from my coffee twice each day (which means no coffee because black coffee isn't enjoyable to me) I love the tree analogy, appreciate you sharing Myron's thoughts! I used to be 198 lbs before my thyroid malfunction was discovered in the last 1990's, as well as sugar-addicted, and now, I'm about 135 at 5'4" and almost 68 years old (was 5'5 before osteopenia/osteoporosis caused height loss). However, even with my condition medicated, the weight did not just fall off, it took tweaking and tweaking and one fabulous female doctor who kept giving me sheets on what to eat to lose weight that I realized one day was a ketovore type plan. She told me that sometimes, women need to intermittent fast to kickstart that weight loss. I finally got the message, though when I was 16, I had lost 35 lbs on the Stillman (pre-Atkins) diet, yet was still sugar addicted. All the weight came back plus some. When I was finally successful and thrilled to go back to her for my annual thyroid test to tell her what she had done for me, I got a notification that she had died suddenly in 2020-she was several years younger than me and I was floored. But I will always remember her so fondly. No other doctors told me what she did. God bless, Kelly, you are one of the most inspirational creators on KZbin. ~Cynthia, N. Georgia mountains

I found that getting *all* non-carnivore food out of my house was key to me going carnivore. I did this by vowing to not *buy* any non-carnivore food for a month. By the time my carb-laden foods were completely gone, I was mentally strong enough to go carnivore. Imo, going carnivore is like developing any other habit, it takes time, and it's best to start small in one way or another.

Kelly ... thank you so so so much for sharing how you struggled, how you were in a stall, and being honest about your journey. My hubby has lost 1lb in 70 days and he's frustrated. BUT I have to remind him that his glucose # have dropped 65 points since we started testing him during this journey. He's got no gallbladder so he thinks that may be the cause of no loss. But he's sleeping deeply, mind is alert, no pain in his heart area, huge decrease in dizzy spells. So even though the scale isn't showing the "outside" evidence, the inside sure is. Amazing thank you. I am 60. I spent my life working because I just love to work. My little world crashed in 2018 with a cancer diagnosis. From then till now I have pain. Intense unrelenting pain . Nothing the medical community try has helped. There are times that I just don’t want to be here anymore. I guess I am too gutless to take that path. I believe our body has the ability to heal. So I have been looking with keen interest at your lifestyle choices.

Kelly, this video is going to help so many of us in that white-line space. I started Carnivore about a year ago thinking I'd try it for only 3 months because it just seemed counter to everything I'd been taught (I trained to be a health coach ten years ago), but I wanted to reduce my inflammation. I know I've been reducing and many health issues have been minimized, but the other day, my aunt asked me, "Have you lost weight?!" That made me so happy. Now others are seeing my progress. My other aunt recently had a gout episode. The other aunt, the one who noticed my weight loss, said it's caused by too much meat consumption. I responded, "Isn't that interesting that I'VE never had gout and I only eat fat and meat." (I know her comment was meant to condemn my diet.) So, thank you for being such a great cheerleader.

I have been looking at pictures and it took a good ten years to get to the obese, fatigued, stressed body I recently had. Three weeks in and down 15 pounds but, feeling awesome! The internal benefits keep me going. As long as I feel great, I will be in it for the long haul. There is really something to be said about the mentality this diet automatically provides; the clear thinking, the joy, the energy, and positive benefits overall.

My fasting insulin is like 30-40…it was 20-30 and I tested a 10 day water fast and was able to get to a 6 on the day I just had to break it. After 10 days of eating nothing! Only dropped down to 6. I’m so broken! I just want to know how i can fix myself? I’m sensitive to protein. I love to eat too much meat. High fat works but is hard for me to sustain. So here is what I can do… small meals, on Mounjaro to help, always keto, lots of zone two cardio exercise. Heavy resistance training. Fasting which is now really hard.

Oh my gosh. I needed this. I’m not the tree yet! I’m doing the underground work. I was driving home from vacation today and we stopped for gas and we were going to get snacks. I used to think peanut butter crackers were a good snack. Now I know they are just processed junk. I ate a few and then gave the rest to my dog. I could hear you saying don’t eat the junk! Eat real food. So today was a win. Thank you so much for changing my thought processes!

Oh how much I needed this!!😭 I was crying yesterday out of frustration, gaining weight in my "white line". I was watching this video at 3am and started crying again, but out of emotion and hope. I'll see how I can budget to join your group. I have no cravings, thanks God I'm free. But it's very hard for me to eat over 140g of protein when I need 170-175g. And if I force mysrlf, I'm not only nauseous, I gain 2lbs😭 I started March 1st, tired of trying to get off oxalates overload from (dirty) keto, I was only 20lbs overweight, now I'm 32lbs over. My joints still hurt a lot, my clothes don't fit, and I look like I'm made of cottage cheese. God bless you for this video, you have reached a world more than you tought❤❤❤❤

Dear Ms Kelly, there is a young lady at the bank (my), she is close to 300+ lb, her body and skin is so tight. Monday early 6, 2024 while doing business, a door opened, I spoke quietly to her, and said what if told you that you can lose weight by eating more, she said I'm listening (I don't even know this girls name), I shared about carnivore with her, and told her about all y'all in sphere. In the moment I didn't think about you, now I have written yours and others ytube pgs.. As for myself I've been primarily carno for years didn't know there was such a thing, anyway I found you all due to iodide deficiency, anyway I hope she ends up connecting with you, Your friend Dennis

I am struggling with long covid. There doesn't seem to be a consensus on what causes the breathlessness that comes with LC. Some say that it is caused by small clots in the lungs and that exercise is harmful to your organs, and some say it is vagus nerve damage, there doesn't seem to be a consensus on what causes it. I also have heart palpitations which I take medication for. I started the carnivore diet in January, but have not been consistent although I have been getting better at staying on the diet, I was keto before but had started eating more and more carbs so decided to try carnivore. Your video has given me more hope that this way of eating will eventually help me heal and actually start to lose weight again, lost 30 lbs at the beginning but have been stalled out for months. Thank you for being candid about your journey, you don't know how much this has helped me.

It’s so funny you say that about feeling safe. We just went to the beach for a week, and by the end I just felt like who cares what I look like, I’ve been diligent for months, this trip is my reward, I earned it and I’m going to enjoy it. And that shut my “what will others think” brain right up, even I was surprised. Hubby appreciated it even more I’m sure, me not constantly hiding under bulky things, being tan in places I wasn’t before, and most of all not lurking in the shadows wishing I could be other ppl. ❤️

Kellyyyyyy!! Thank you for this. It's 12:03am. I'm doing the "push-ups next to the bed"... in the form of WALKING on this awesome walking pad (using my awesome desk 😃). This is SO GOOD to hear. So good to be REMINDED of. So encouraging! As I set out to walk 8,300 steps this evening I reflected on how important it is to remember that if we have weight to lose, we have healing to do! And if we have healing to do we can trust that our body is prioritizing the healing and the weight loss will be a byproduct of that! I've come to realize lately that I want to be gracious and kind and gentle and patient with my body. Consistent! And I trust that if I am consistent over time I will ultimately see the results that I'm most definitely beginning to feel! Like the sign behind you in your video, you are truly a light in darkness! Keep up the good work! And again... THANK YOU!!! 6,900 steps down, 1,400 more to go! That was JUST THE MESSAGE I needed to hear! God gives us WHAT WE NEED, WHEN WE NEED IT! 🎉

Hi Kelly!!! About two-ish months ago you mentioned in a video that you do your daily push ups in the morning so you can get them out of the way since you don't really like doing them. I HATE doing push ups so when you said that it was like a lightbulb went off. I went from doing no push ups (because I hated them) to rolling out of bed and repping two sets to failure before doing anything else in my day. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to what day I started but it's been somewhere around 8 weeks now. I could only manage about 4 per set in the beginning, but now I've managed up to 17 in one set! I feel like my posture has improved dramatically and that my abdomen has firmed up a bit. I'm not out of shape by any stretch, I am an endurance runner (40mi/wk+), but I've always really dreaded strength training, whether it's calisthenics or weight lifting. Doing it first thing in the morning so that I don't have to dread it all day has been a game changer for me. You still won't find me in the gym lifting weights anytime soon, but you will find me on the floor doing my push ups every morning! Thank you so much for that tip!!! It really helped me a lot! ❤

Love this Kelly. The "space in between" reminds me of "selah"~ the rest, or pause, between the music notes or scripture, or meanings to be conveyed. A whole lot happens in these spaces/pauses, they are important & can be full of valuable information. They are necessary in order to transition from one scale note to the next, to build momentum for what's ahead. I now choose to rest in these pauses, wait for my bodily systems to catch up, get comfy & trust me for what's ahead. *I also happen to be currently hanging out in the 160's, after losing about 35lbs. Prior to that however, I had almost zero weight loss the first couple years of eating this way, then dropped that 35 over 6 mo's or so. So grateful for all the other amazing benefits & changes that took place during that first couple years~ a very loooong pause indeed! Great expansion on this topic.Sammie in AZ

What a GREAT video ! All points absolutely spot on and the last point is especially noteworthy ... If your bone density, muscle-mass and organ volumes are atrophied or reduced ... Suddenly supplying your skeleton, musculature and organs, including your skin and your brain with the material and nutrients they require, may allow them to be able to quite quickly repair/replenish/rejuvenate and attain more normal and optimal levels of functionality. And as with all things in life --> The only way to guarantee losing is to quit ! ... So keep on keeping on or at least be prepared to die trying. Also - If the scales start going the wrong direction, switch to the tape measure because the tape measure may still going in the right direction or at least sitting static whilst everything else comes back into balance 😉👍

That information really helps me understand that a 2 yr stall on Carnivore is not the end all I was thinking it must be. On Keto when I first lost 80 lbs in 8 months (without exercise), my fasting insulin went down to 4 but since went back up to 11 two yrs ago when I went Carnivore. I got a CGM and it seems my glucose is pretty stable so I will check my insulin again. I started working out a year ago with a trainer 3 x week and have gained some muscle but still show visceral fat on the scan at the gym. My weight has been stable but still not moving the scale down. As much as I hate walking I can do it on the days I am not working out...like maybe today? -Female age 74 Lam 3:22 NIV Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Lam 3:23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I’ve been on this nutrition journey for 22+ years. I discovered low carb in 200 when I was 37 and lost 50# in 6 months and was the best chape of my life. I had three babies after that and had the best pregnancies and births. About 7 years later I was 45 my hubs and I lost weight again on WW. It was harder but I did get to goal and I was able to run 5ks and even in good enough shape to run a 10k.. then when I hit 50years old everything changed. Nothing I had done before worked. And for the last 10 years everything has been harder and my hope of ever getting as thin, as lean or as fit as I did at 37 or 45 are pretty much gone. And def not as great shape as your “after” pics! I 100% believe carnivore is the best answer to health and overweight..it’s just that much harder after 50.
