I appreciate that Real Talk season 2 is now shifting into much more relatable and life topics, not simply the popular sensual topics etc. That variety and maturity is great! But I miss Eric's entertainment and his alternative viewpoints too!

I have always been a drifter and the outsider. The expendable one, the one that everyone talks over and forgets about. I always felt like that those around me never have valued me to the same extent that i valued them. I was also always kinda sad over the fact that i never had a proper "best friend" or even a group of friends. But as i get older, i have realized that for if you keep looking for friendship and setting unrealistic expectations, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. Be yourself, be kind and be open. Dont let anyone take advantage of you, and stray away from the toxic ones. Learn to love yourself and find out what you like and dont like in people. True friendship will find it's way to you, and it might take a while to get to you, or it could have been under your nose this whole time.

So sad sia when John was talking about being scarred. I also wanna say I really appreciate Real Talk. I realised that it's much easier and soothing for the ears as compared to Just Saying. Like they respect one another by giving the speaker airtime to talk and not interrupt. Really appreciate it. And still hoping the videos can be longer!

yess, i feel so too. it seems like in just saying, everyone is fighting to talk about their story and sometimes they conclude the episode too abruptly
@Endolu3 жыл бұрын
@@siewwen5430 both is good. sometimes i like to sit down in solidarity and listen about the more serious side of things, while at times, i like the chaotic energy/vibes. Not that one is better than the other, but it's more of a personal taste kinda thing

Omg this episode was so good, the cast was so real and the chemistry was really good. Truly lives up to the name of "Real Talk", sincere and genuine conversations instead of the cringefest. Seems like in this episode you guys found your footing again. Am excited to watch more episodes with this cast and their opinions
@kagebunshin43803 жыл бұрын
I prefer real talk to just saying tbh. I like how they deal with more general and relatable topics and not just sex/relationship stuff, many of which I cannot relate to in the first place given that some of the cast of just saying just seem to be a very different group of people that I usually associate with. This friendship episode really resonated with me a lot and helped me to understand that I am not alone in losing friends as I move from one stage of my life to another.

I used to have a lot friends and spent quality time with them when I was young. Eventually all drifted apart as I grow older. Now I don't need friend anymore, i just want to spend quality time with my family. Nevertheless, I'm still thankful for those friends in the past, who had accompanied me when I was at my most vulnerable.

It would be even better if you keep in contact occasionally, assuming you don’t anymore. Just seeing how lonely when someone lost their partner at an old age and there’s no companionship to spend time after retirement, and those that do stay in contact had a happier life especially after retirement and as cliche as it sounds, they are happier and healthier.

When you ask yourself what you want from a best friend, you also need to ask yourself what you're willing to give to your best friend

People are not loyal to you; they are loyal to their need of you. Might sound a little sad, but accepting it allows us not to have false expectations nor take relationships for granted- It might help prevent us from being overly emotional when people "leave", and also to constantly meet the other person's needs, esp in a relationship you value.

i completely understand John's positions. in my case, my bestfriends abandoned me after a long time. they hated my partner at that time and they left me, alone. nothing left. i miss them so much, sometimes i hate them too but at the end of the day i feel like i deserves this situation. idk. i just feel so empty inside.
