This. First time I did a-c sides, it took me I think over 10k deaths (mostly to c sides) I did a-c sides again for the 3rd or 4th time the other day in 8-9hrs. It felt amazing.

As a celeste gamer, I get angry all the time. I could not IMAGINE dying to the heart in 5d. That has to be the most nervous I’ve EVER been collecting a heart. (5d is a mod btw) Core c-side I usually say is easier than 7c, but that doesn’t make 7c hard (for me at least). Since the room is shorter than others, despite the fact it’s very precise, it get extremely consistent after like 3 times lol and that’s the reason I got the golden first

@@MagicianStevey Yeah, at first 7c took me, like 2 hours and a half, but on my fourth time beating it, it only took 2 minutes. After playing that stage for a while, it kinda just gets engraved into your muscle memory. Mods look way too hard for me though, and I play on console anyway.

i can confirm just how difficult it is. I have almost 30k deaths on my main file (technically 100% but not all challenges done) and whenever you think you've finished something, turns out there's something even harder to do. The deathless strawberries are.... painful, to say the least. But I wouldn't say it's punishing. The game sets out the rules, and teaches you how to play. It difficult as hell but it rarely feels unfair, and when it does its related to more of a glitch or awkward input lag that some devices have. If you mess up you get sent back to the start of the room, and there's no limit to the amount of tries you get. Only the very endgame (deathless) gets slightly punishing, but it gives you incentive to practice the level first then try the deathless level! Overall it doesn't punish you for messing up, it just gives you another chance to try it again.

The only way to collect the golden berry is to not die at ALL throughout the entire level until the very end when you collect it. Harder than anything else in the entire game lmao

moon berry spoilers (avoid if you know where to go or want to find it yourself) at farewell subchapter, after hitting the power box, go left and up, there’s a nice path to follow. respawn point only appears when you reach the big platform with springs on it, so don’t die then there’s a nice puzzle, and a screen involving jellyfish. glhf

135 deaths on 7C first try is not good at the game. Really fucking hurts. To see he’s at this point with only 11 hours on file as well. Like fuck me. I think I got near 1000 deaths on 7C. And don’t even get me started on the first room of 5C. He did that shit in like 3 tries. It took me half an hour to get that one room. (It was in the middle of the night on vacation with my shitty laptop, but even at home I think it’d take me at least 20 minutes. I hope he realizes at some point that just because the death count seems high (3 digits) it doesn’t mean that he sucks. On the contrary he’s probably in the top 1-2% on their first play through. He should multiply his death count by 5-10 to get the average Celeste experience.
