I would give literally anything for one more day. 8.22.16 my life changed forever and everything I thought I knew was instantly unrecognizable. Ugh my heart breaks for you all but thank you. There’s no such thing as moving on from the death of a love one. All you can do is be strong, and live on. Whenever I hear someone say move on in response to another persons grief it sounds as if they want you to forget and let go of the love that person gave you and the love you had for them.

I lost my mum twelve days ago, and buried her two days ago. She’d been deteriorating from alzheimers for a long time, but was aware of our presence until the last day. I was with her the moment she died, and I’m grateful that she wasn’t alone at the end. For all of that, I’m struggling to accept that I’ll never speak to her over the phone, or see her at lunches with her partner. She’s been there for 42 years and now she’s gone and I just can’t comprehend it. I know I’ll adjust and come to terms with it eventually, but right now it just feels… wrong. Its like a bad dream that never ends. I am not married yet, or have my own children. But it is going to be hard times when those moments come up in life. We just had her funeral yesterday, and that was very hard, especially for my little niece. They were both very close. It is going to be hard to deal with life without her around. I miss her so much! He’s 18 and although he has a good job he wasn’t planning on moving out until the spring so he’s very lost right now. and because she was so young it was so unexpected. i’ve been there for him and will continue to do so but it’s so heartbreaking. So many things happen after a parent dies, as if the loss wasn't enough pain. Sometimes siblings never talk to each other again after parents or a parent dies.

I lost my mother August 16th 2016. She was, and always will be the one thing that devastated me when she passed away. She suddenly had a massive heart attack at Bradgate Park near Leicester. My mother was walking up the hill, and was out of breath, and said to my brother, "I will climb this hill even if this kills me". She just went there, and then. my memories are of her when she took me to school, and had to leave me on the bus as I looked back in tears. She was kind, loving, most stubborn, and would do anything for anybody. My mother kept everybody together, (I have 2 brothers and 1 sister we are all only 5 years apart in age), and to this day I have never felt pain like it ever. Its just that I feel like the old life that I always new is gone, and the new life?.. its a bit like that film, "Is A Wonderful Life", where the guy wishes he was never born. When that guy walks down the streets everything is different. That's how life feels like to me now. I believe in God and one day who knows. But I try to be strong. Thanks everybody for sharing here. If you're watching this for the first time after your mom died I'm sorry I wish I could take the pain away, it's not fair and you don't deserve to live with this pain. Sadly, it doesn't go away, but you learn how to live with it. And you will carry her with you in your lowest pits and your greatest triumphs.
