Losing Power? How to Fix Haslab Proton Pack Connection

I wasn’t having issues with the hose. With mine I’ve noticed there are 4 gold connectors on the rim on the cyclotron cover and the pack it’s self and when the bumper is fully tightened the cover is still slightly loose and not completely flushed with the pack, causing the power to lose connectivity. It’s easy fixed with a washer but still feel like that shouldn’t be an issue with a $400 product unless they just forgot to put a washer on mine. With a washer, it seems to have fixed the issue so whoever reads this, hopefully you’re able to get your issue resolved.

All of a sudden my pack is shutting off when I hit the activate or intensify buttons. This didn’t happen when I first got pack. Now it’s doing it. I checked hose connection a bunch to make sure it’s tightly secure. No use. Just reached out to hasbro. I wonder if replacement hoses are an option? 🤷‍♂️

I think there’s more to it than a loose connection. The part is not properly supported at its base. The Alice frame puts the placement of the pack in a weird spot on the stand. Pressure from the stand on the hose is causing the problem. I would recommend hanging your pact and putting away the stand.

My issue is when I turn on the wand. I flip the first two switches and turns on. Then turn the activate switch or turn volume up and it turns off whole pack

Pardon me, I cannot make my neutrona wand connect to the hose properly it seems. I tightened the connection of the hose at the bottom of the pack, but for some reason, the hose still will not send power to the wand properly. I have even tried sanding/filing the connector that goes into the handle and it was just no dice. I kept hearing this sound like something tiny and metal, like one of the small contact springs was being pushed in the wrong direction. HELP!!

Mine is snug as can be and I get no power to my wand at all! Super frustrating. Any other methods/ideas out there?

I'm very sorry to hear. This problem seems to pop up on quite a few packs. The fix from what I read is tape and aluminum foil. There is a Haslab modders group on Facebook you could check out with many different solutions. This fix worked on my pack but it's seems to be varying from pack to pack.

I have this weird issue. When I Fire up the wand, on the 3rd switch it powers down the pack. 😞 Been trying to find a solution for this. Help me GB enthusiast you are my only hope

I'd unplug everything and plug everything back in and make sure it's secured properly. Try that.

@cosmo4797 yes I finally figures out. Its the damn batteries lol. Of course it's important to ensure the hose are locked in. But my issue went away after getting some Energizer batteries

Mine shuts off when I flip on the activate switch on the wand. I have a stay alive mod so the pack stays on but the wand shuts off completely.

Thats not the big problem most people are having . Most are having when you power up the pack and the wand after the first 2 switches are on once you hit the activate switch the whole thing shuts down.

This is the first time I've heard of this issue. I went out to test mine and no issue with that particular problem. But again I would take off and remove the battery from the wand and hose from the pack then reattach everything securely. Sounds simple but sometimes it really is.

That’s the issue I was having causing me to come seek this video!!😧 But it wasn’t 100% of the time when I’d push ACTIVATE while it was attached to the pack. I’m thinking my issue was the hose because for all the moving around, I was probably disrupting the power connection because as I grew more and more frustrated, I’d move and then it would oddly show signs of trying to function right meaning my hose was probably getting intermittent contact from all the motion.

Just got mine in yesterday and made all the connections snug and the wand is still shutting off at random positions of the hose and will not turn itself back on unless I flip the side switch

I'm sorry to hear. Keep in mind the wand has 30 second auto shutdown for power. So it will shut the thrower and pack down when it shuts off if you activated the pack lights via the wand.

I would disconnect everything. Remove the battery pack from the wand and hose from the proton pack itself then reconnect and try again. See if that helps.

Thank you. I’m gonna look into this. I didn’t realize you could leave the red switch flipped so that all control rested in the wand. It’s nigh impossible to reach back and flip it and my wand did nothing without it. I’d flip while spinning my ALICE around on my waist and re-strapping and then turn on the wand and the moment I go to shoot while standing in front of a mirror…it dies. It was as if the firing button was merely an on OFF switch.😟 And for all the trouble of going right back through all that, it would just do it again😠…and again😡…and again!!🤬 Yet, when I stand there with it on the bed and let it idle, I get that 3 minutes promised by HasLab before it goes to sleep and I’d even press fire and get to see it work, but when I get it all on and walk to the mirror to see myself wearing and firing it…DOES IT AGAIN!!🤯🤬🤬🤬😖 But then it started acting weird intermittently and unexplainedly regaining activity if I shoved the barrel back down or repeatedly flipped through the switch order while also screwing with the barrel. I finally got fed up and put it back on its stand and went searching for whether anyone else was being burdened by similar issues. So I’ll go try and see if I just have this problem with the hose making good connection.

Tightened, aligned, retightened, still doesn’t work. Shuts off if the bottom hose is moved at all.

I'm sorry to hear. I'd try disconnecting everything and even pulling the the battery pack from the wand as well. Make sure all the prongs are properly aligned and retighten as much as you can. It's worth a shot.

This is not the solution. You will have the same problem tomorrow. The best way to fix it is with the thin tape and alu foil method

It was the solution for me. No issue and nice and snug. The problem might vary from person to person. This is a solution that will help some but maybe not others.

@@ChrisBoshProps Sorry for my curt comment. The reason I mentioned this is that it is what I tried when I received my packs a few weeks ago. Tightening it dead straight and tight. I even advise using some silicone grease on the plastic threads for safety as it is a piece that most people will try to screw on as tightly as possible and it is plastic after all. Every pack has the same connection problem. Fitting it snugly will work for a few days until you move it again. The problem is that there is too much space inside the connector for the pogo pins in the hose to always maintain contact. The tape and foil method seems to work well. I have many tips and tricks videos on the Hasbro pack on my channel. If you like, feel free to use whatever video I have for yourself, I don't mind.
