Hey there! Welcome to my channel!!! In this video I discuss my experiences losing the baby weight after both of my pregnancies. I Gained 50+lbs with my first pregnancy and 39lbs with my second pregnancy. I discuss the things I did differently to lose the weight during both of my postpartum journeys. Thank you, For your honesty! Seriously not everyone loses weight breastfeeding. It’s a real thing, Serena Williams actually talks about it in an interview.

Who does? It’s supposed to make you store fat when you breast feed…. I don’t get who thinks breastfeeding caused weight loss… unless you aren’t eating the extra calories your body needs to make milk.

Thankyou so much for your video! I relate a lot to much of what you said. I had the exact same weight as you after baby! Weight fell off the first week or two after my daughter and then....NOTHING. I’m doing keto which I never, ever thought I’d do since I live for carbs and sugar, and I’m seeing fast snd great results (finally!). I’m two years to the date I delivered my girl (in two days ) and still breastfeeding and I’m still mildly bitter that breastfeeding didn’t make my weight fall off like moms I knew had always told me it would. 😭🤪

Girl, same! I lost the water weight a few weeks after delivery, and then as I was breastfeeding it all came back plus some.

I just wanted to share my experience for anyone in the future. I had a hard time losing weight while breastfeeding in the beginning. When my baby hit 8-9 months, and significantly cut down on nursing sessions, my weight just fell off. I am actually 15 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. Still nursing at 13 months old but I’m definitely still holding onto excess fat in my butt and thighs despite being a lower weight. This is the same weight I gained in my first trimester, despite initially losing weight due to my HG pregnancy. I remember thinking it was crazy I was losing so much weight and gaining fat in my butt. Turns out this is the place your body primarily stores fat for breastfeeding because it’s easy to access to turn into milk in case a famine. I’m curious to see if that excess fat will go away when I wean.

Hey! Did you pump when your baby turned 8/9 months old? Im not a fan of pumping, but when my baby turns around that age I’m not sure if I have to pump to not decrease my supply

@@enen6221 I still pumped one time at night and stored it in the freezer, but I stopped that around 11 months. Now I still nurse her 3 times a day at 14 months because she just does not want to wean yet. Your supply will decrease as feeding sessions get cut out unless you pump to replace them. I decided to just start naturally weaning. No pumping of baby didn’t want to nurse, just let my body regulate to her demand. I expect she will still nurse for a few more months at this rate.

i just stopped bf at 5 years. longer than i ever expected. but now i have been gaining weight at it has added up quick! frustrating as i have never really had to stress about weight, would always be easy come easy go. now it's been very stubborn. hoping things will regulate after a few months.

I was cutting my calories to 1200 and working out cardio said I was doing from 300 to 500 calories every workout everyday I was so exhausted and if I didn’t get over 6 hours of sleep I would stop producing at night past like 10 pm but I still was not losing any weight and I did try to run but I only lost 5 pounds and then when I stopped working out i just gained it back so now I’m back at 180 which I have been 180 since before I gave birth ☹️ we plan ti breastfeed until 2 years old so we’ll see but at this point I want to except that my body needs the extra weight to keep up the breastmilk and I am the first in at least two generations that we know of to even breastfeed so I’m pretty proud of that because my mother was not too keen on me breastfeeding and she actually didn’t like it and thought it was kind of weird and gross and then rooted for me to stop breastfeeding when I was having problems so the only motivation I had was on KZbin. I know TMI but I am 5’4 and 180 I guess I just wish I could fit into my good cowgirl jeans like I used to and take nice pictures with my two babies under two but I know that no one is perfect and I am this way genetically I am just so grateful I am able to have this experience breastfeeding and feeling so connected to my son now he is 4 1/2 month old and has only drank a bottle three times and now he refuses to take a bottle which is okay with me I just wish I felt more comfortable in public and stuff and more stronger to hold him and carry him everywhere I go.

BTW I was 135 before getting pregnant the first time and was 174 when I got pregnant again and now gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and now I am 180 I technically bounce between 180 and 174 now

I'm also technically exclusively breast feeding. I was 121 when I got pregnant and last I weighed was around 38 weeks and was 162. I'm 5 2 so that was ALOT! anyways I quickly lost weight after I delivered. My post-partum w8 was 149 pounds and it dropped to 134 like within a month or so. But now I'm stuck. I am exclusively breast feeding. I also pump when I can't feed him due to long shifts. My baby is 1 week shy of 4 months and I have tried intermittent fasting for like a month b4 I gave up bcz my w8 would absolutely just not budge. I cant work out, I never have. I just don't have it in me. But I do walk alot at work and can easily get 7k to 9k steps. Not big on eating and surprisingly did not get that awful hunger that breastfeeding mums get like at all. Just normal hunger I got b4 getting pregnant. I eat clean mostly. Home cooked meals 2wice. Just haven't been getting a goodnight sleep and I do crave sweets and indulge like once daily which I shouldn't but hey I wasn't loosing any weight when I was restricting. Hoping to loose w8 after weaning him off. Good on u for choosing to feed above everything else. Our little ones are what matters most. Hoping to hear from u and how's it going since its been 4 months. Like my comment to let me know u responded

Nice to know I'm not alone, 5' 2, 174 ibs.. Bf 14 month now.. Its just so hard to lose weight and keep up with my supply.. I workout consistently, intermittent fasting.. It won't budge😭
