It is an Islamic concept! The 3 ways dua is answered is 1. You get it. 2. It is deferred/delayed (in this life). 3. Granted/given better in the hereafter. And it's said that the 3rd one is better. But in the worldly life, it's not easy! Ive recently realized that it is only my responsibility to make my best effort, and then the outcome is none of business (bc it's up to Allah swt).
