I was wondering why I couldn't equip the stone when I found them. I didn't know you had to go to an ability stone cutter to fully cut the stone in order to equip it lol It's really hard to find an ability stone with the right engraving you want. And then to hope that you successfully cut that stone with all maxed out + nodes, that's even harder.

i still don't understand how any of this works.. i get how to do this at the person and make the stones but that's it... that's like 10% of the info i need lol for example i have books that says i cannot read them as they are higher than the one im currently doing etc or how to get them onto my equipment etc it doesnt tell me anything i need to know

@@KerbalSpacey engravings come from various places. Ability stones are just one aspect. The books allow you to level engravings up in your engravings tab permanently I believe. Ability stones and jewellery will give you more points towards your engravings on top of what you already have I think. I’m still only lvl 38 so haven’t spent too much time on the system itself yet but that’s what I understand about it.

I think you can’t craft stone of endurance, but can with the others since they dismantled into small pieces

Fun fact: if you change mains after getting ability stones and before your item level is 250, you cannot get any ability stones at all on your new main until you hit item level 250.

Are Stones of Birth the only ones to go for, as the other you find seem to lack the 800+ points of Vitality? And should one just dismantle all other stones you find to craft the Birth ones instead, any tips here. Very good guide anyhow =)

I found a bunch of endurance stones but ironically for an item with the endurance suffix I lost 1800 hp equipping it so that was a nope :') Was just wondering if stone of birth is the only one ever worth using.

im lvl 50 and im still yet to pick up a stone with vitality. idk if its the game bugging out or theyre t0 stones or something like that. when i dismantle them i get the same shit as when you dismantle normal gear. no powder of mystery

that's a bug currently, supposedly powder of mystery is only being rewarded when dismantling stones if you have already faceted them and you got good rolls making them "high tier"

I have tons of tier 0 stones. If I dismantle em, even after fully faciting em, they turn into normal junk I get from classic equips like armor or weapon. Do those have any value? Can I anyway make em higher tier? Concidering we get tier1 stones for free, why would tier0 even drop if even tier0 purple once are worse than tier1 blue once?

Is the Stone of Devotion supposed to be better than the Elegant Stone of Birth? Its T2 compared to T1 and a lot more Vitality, but it doesnt give as many nodes (max 4 compared to max 7)

That depends on the class. Certain engravings work better for diff characters. What ever character you have just look at specific build online

Only started playing couple weeks ago, was really busy with moving house & other irl stuff at release. Really enjoying this game but the amount of rng is starting to get on my tits !! . Honing feels really bad when you fail constantly that's before we get to engraving stones 😡. Other aspect is "having" to upgrade ALTs, I don't mind levelling ALTs to L50 it's the fact you have to do all this honing / engraving rng again on characters you don't even like 😂. Then we have the tower ( not certain that's it's term) where you go up difficult, in most games I like this style of play with each level getting harder but problem is 1st clear doesn't get mats, so got to level with an alt then redo it with your main. My server in EU west is completely empty, even at reset can't get players to do low level guardian / abysmal dungeons everyone says skip for now but it's lot of gold / materials I miss everyday. Guess I'll be looking for new game in near future 😀😂😂

Except the percentages are rubbish. Clicking the same line continuously yields the same result as trying to increase % success. It feels as if each stone is pre-destined to fail/succeed a certain number of times and after that number they all fail

I found stone that has only 4 nodes on each ability. I managed to cut all 4 in one ability, yet I didn't get this ability effect. If I understand it correctly, to get an ability effect you need 5 successful nodes in one ability. How is this Stone of Endurance I just found gonna work if it has only 4 nodes on it?
