For total beginners I will do a basic gear progression and how gear works video soon, so you understand what weapon and armor upgrade materials are! The Cube and Boss Rush are dungeons that need tickets to enter, these tickets drop from Chaos Dungeon bosses at random, but guaranteed 2 Boss Rush tickets & 2 Cube tickets per week if you do Chaos Dungeons diligently. These dungeons have matchmaking and group queue. They drop very worthwhile rewards (at T3) as quickly mentioned in the video.

@@koffee3816 ive quested with my friends to 50, it is extremely slower, but its definetly do-able if you just want to chill and level with them. there are some things that only you can go into, but you guys will complete them in about the same time and then be with eachother right after it. but i suggest leveling on your own to 50 and then you all start end-game content together, thats where the real game actually starts. and if you can't do that then i dont know if mmos are for you, because in all the mmos i played, end game content is where the actual game starts, questing is just a big turtorial to better understand your class and the game itself.

I agree that the point that you start playing your alts is when progress on your main gets to the point of diminishing returns in terms of gold and time. Even in Korea, I only have 4 characters that I actually play. I work and have family so I can only play like 5-7 hours a week. ofc I'm just a filthy casual and I've only spent like 100,000 won in 7 months now but I can still go do the legion raids with my main. I main Striker(raid), and alts are Blade(chaos dungeons and income stuff or sometimes raid), Demonic, and Lancemaster. I started with Berserker and Holyknight but scrapped them (not pley them except for the passive income stuff).

Finally someone is being strait to NA audience. No alts "fall behind" ty. Ofc u dont have to play alts but this is the truth - more alts faster progression and benefits. By having alts, you can enjoy and have fun playing other classes and at the same time, you can earn mats and other resources for adventurer’s tome esp silver which is really impt endgame. Once your alts are in the same tier or ilevel with your main, you can do all the dailies to help out your main for mats and vice versa. Your alts can do towers for honing mats but make sure to research the stronghold thing tho and abyss dungeons for engraving accessories! You dont need to spend real money or gold for your alts unless you want the best for your alts. One more thing, for alts you can do transfer knowledge anyways but you need gold for this one tho. I would suggest to transfer knowledge them for vern only then do all the main quest from there to feiton so you can earn silver and some rewards. This is also a fun way to learn other classes’ skills esp if you are into PvP. This is mainly my opinion about having alts! Currently, I’ve got 4 alts. Tbh, it is a bit tough rotating with my 5 characters but as zeals mentioned, you dont need to do chaos and guardians on a daily basis if you dont want to.

Yes it basically the same thing but transfer knowledge does cost you 600 gold for vern and 8 hours waiting time so better do it when you are about to sleep while vern pass is free and your character goes level 50 straight away with some rewards like pet and cosmetics.

In a way it’s good for the game I feel for people to explore other classes, however I’ve always been one to find my favorite class and try to master that class, min/max. Not to mention the time to manage several alts… I just don’t have that kind of time anymore. I personally hate the fact that it feels like a necessity to manage alts.

I played lost ark on jp server with only 1 character back when jp didnt have catch up boost in tier 1 and tier 2. It took me 2 or 3 months of casual playing to catch up to the end of tier 2 no problem. Have never been behind a single time ever since and all that was for FREE. Like, Japan didnt even allow me to buy stuff cuz I was overseas.

Yeah I found, with my available time, I can sustain the main and three characters, all of them do the chaos dungeon, main always do the guardians, and on alts I make a rotation, one each day, so is more manageable for me. Maybe in the future I will do more but the extra time goes into horizontal content.

I kinda disagree on "alt friendly" it's not alt friendly if you progress at much lower speed if you don't do it. That's more like "alt dependant" or "forced alts". If you only have time for one character, then one is fine because with the amount of time you have to play per day, you won't be playing the very end content anyway. I got sick of playing with 6. SO considering time vs progression, I found 4 reasonable. With the other 2 I just got bused since I didn't have the time and getting bused you still earn more gold overall than not doing it.

So I recently had burnout to the point where I would only do unas and maybe some weeklies. I have a main and 5 alts. I got hooked again when something in my brain clicked. With a lil perspective change, I viewed my roster as a crew, the alts were working for the main trying to reach them. Once I started treating the alts as a group instead of individuals, the game hooked me right back in lol

Make 18 characters, and rotate them in 3-day cycles. Day 1 play chars 1-6, day 2 play chars 7-12, day 3 play chars 13-18. Each character gets 2 days of rest, which will give you 2x drops when you play them.

Making same class alts would save some resources for setting up that alt. This is because gems are transferrable and read engravings are account-wide. When ur alt gets to t3 legion raids, you would have to get them minimally set for raids. If u have a main of the same class, you dont need to spend gold and silver for setting t3 gems as u can just transfer gems from ur main to ur alt whenever needed. Also if you read engravings relevant to ur main, ur alt will use them too (esp class specific engravings), so u save gold for buying accessories for ur engravings. But as you said, you might get bored by playing one class for multiple characters. So you would just create alts of another class to keep u more engaged in the game. Basically a tradeoff between freshness/fun with efficiency.

In my opinion, it is best to have one or two alts. I say this because you still need to go through the story three times to collect all three mounts from specific main story quests and it helps with boosting roster level once you done all your daily/weekly for the day. I say 1 or 2 because it also varies on if a person has decided their main character or not yet. With still 7 jobs unreleased and more new jobs in the future, it is best to focus on two characters for now to build up your stronghold/house, virture, and roster for the future contents. Not to mention prepare some resources for your Main character which won't be released until a future update. I am personally waiting for scouter since that will be my main due to how he is literally the type of character I love playing in games (being the tech and gun user job) but since it will be months or maybe not until next year, I will spend my time for now focusing on taking my time and building up resources, roster level, and rapport with NPC. This way when the time arrives when scouter is released, I can focus on taking my time progress the main storyline from level 1 again as a scouter for the experience of progressing the main story normally.

​@@oldundead In my opinion the main story is not bad and is enjoyable. The issue is in the start is that it appears very linear story about good versus evil but does not get interesting until later once players get into the later main storyline from the 2nd awakening quests revealing the bigger picture of events since we are introduced to the 2nd antagonist faction there representing the Order Faction being a corrupt faction within the church thus turning this war into more than just Good versus Evil but into a war between ideals of absolute Order (corrupted church) versus absolute Chaos (demons) versus Neutral (the player and his/her allies). A lot of the good aspect of the Main storyline goes into the when Armen and Kharmine are involved due to how the bigger picture of the main storyline is on their side of the story. I honestly hated how much they forgotten about Armen after we left Luterra since beyond finding the Ark we should have been also looking for Armen as well as he was the guy who been with us since the beginning until his religion screwed with him. Of course they finally address that reason later once we enter the 2nd Awakening storyline being the Journey quests which is a Main Storyline quest. I swear we better get to put a sword through that Bishop leading the corrupt faction of the church because he screwing with too many people who are our character's friends. You can really tell when the story writers are more at their best later in the Main storyline since they know where they want to take the storyline in what is the Season 2 contents of the game by then as they were certainly at their worst during the season 1 Main storyline since they yet to dive into where they want to go story wise yet at that content era. Keep in mind we started global release in early Season 2 contents so we can head into the Season 2 storyline.

I got a question becouse im getting confused or maybe im not, WHAT is the gameplay of lost ark so far it feels like i got chaos/guardian/abyssal and some other small stuff over there but thats a few hours for a week compiled i think. there will be boosts later (hopefully some are free like in KR) and or boosts from your estate (your house) but those may be or may not be worth it if the cost (which we pay in gold) is too high. We don't know if it's worth it just yet until the game is out to see the buying power of gold and the price of the gold boost.

I'm going to be doing 3x3s on my toons I think. One 'Main' and two feeder Alts for each, 3 'Mains' total. This is over the next YEAR tho. My first Main and first 2 alts turns into my Three Mains as they add classes and all that.

Nice video. One comment though: To get a Level 10 gem, you would need 3^9 = 19'683 Level 1 gems, not 3^10. For example, to get a lvl2 gem, you'd need 3 lvl1 gems, so 3^1. That's 3^(n-1) gems.

Probably target down. Every class has a skill that needs to be unlocked at trixion after hitting 50 along with an awakening skill.

Question about alts as it pertains to guilds if you dont mind. As far as I am aware, every character has to join a guild separately, the guild membership isnt an account wide thing. Taking that into account, how are alts traditionally handled when it comes to guilds? Do communities just make a handful of guilds for people to stuff their alts into or is it more of a common practice to just make a personal guild to stuff your alts in? Sorry if that doesnt make sense, I am happy to clarify.

We have a mid-sized guild and were trying to figure out how to handle alt characters since there just wont be room for people to keep their alts in the main guild. We were looking at the benefits of having alt guilds versus everyone having a personal guild for their alts. One more question if you dont mind. The guild crystal currency, is that tied to each guild? Like do you lose your stockpile if you switch guilds?

Just a heads up Zeals roxx confirmed we will have knowledge transfer at launch. I'm guessing it will cost the same gold to boost a character to 50 like the other servers. I'm glad because this saves us the problem of lvling through the story again.

does this only apply to pve? from what i can tell you can do rated pvp as soon as you hit the level requirement for pvp(27-50? ive heard mixed answers) gear and everything is equalized at that point. so i dont need gear or grind to pvp non stop and competitively?

i got a question that can't found an answer for online... when i get my first character (main) to max lvl and i do the dailies, and then i get my second character (alt) to dailies, should i use the mats i get from my alt on my alt so the rewards are higher to then funnel to main? or funnel the small rewards to main? like, is it faster to get to the next lvl threshold for campaign on main if i keep my alt on the minimum daily lvl or should i lvl the alt simultaneously with the main to get the main lvl faster

Hey Zeal! First of all i wanna say, man if you didn't have web cam, i would say you are from west dude, your english is perfect! :D I have some opinions of this game on NAEU release and Lost Ark as game in general, so can you please confirm my statements? 1. T3 release, instead of T1 only, just makes life easier for both casual and new players, and nolifers have something to do atleast with T3. So it's a win-win situation! 2. The "REST" system is damn awesome, so casual+ friendly, nothing do add more, great system! 3. Making this game so great in many aspects with all this classes, 99.9% of players will at some point try other class or more of them simply cause they like the gameplay of it, and devs made the system great by REWARDING players for playing with more alts, NOT MAKING YOU to play alts if you want to progress, cause casual players will anyways spend like 2-4 hours a day and play at their own pace, not rushing anything and just enjoy the game. 4. Devs made "pay for convinience" for those who cant play the game 7+ hours a day but want to taste that 1400+ end game, and they gave them that option but not for free, in my opinion it's great. It's not P2W cause every thing that's in the shop, you can farm, just needs time. In general, developers made the game for everyone imo, or am i wrong at something? And btw, i think the game will explode on release and at some point in time reaching top 3 mmo's. Great and informative video , tnx! :D
