hey tkg, want to add something now that we actually have the patch in the west and can see data in raid. not only do we have about 5-6% less dps than before and the whole ms3 engraving issue, but now we also have way worse synergy uptime just due to how elcid works as a skill and there is no way we can improve it so we are providing less to our party now too. i don't know how to pass this on to koreans, but this patch is even worse than i initially thought for co summoner.

as a co summoner, this patch makes me sad. and i don't count any build running ms3 as co since only like 35% of your damage ends up coming from pets. i'm hoping they fix this stuff before bringing the patch over to the west. i really also dislike losing the rotation based gameplay but i guess i could get over it if we didn't also get a pretyt sizable dmg nerf.

It's not really a nerf. Just QoL. Dmg loss is gained back from steads and having 100% dmg on all skills instead of only skills fit within the atk buff window. No matter how good you are you couldn't have 100% uptime because you're supposed to use pet attacks off cd, and not wait on the atk buff window. And if boss moves during ancient spear cast, you have to cancel and use it again but you have very little leeway to reposition and cast it again before the atk buff runs out. And then you have skills that are out of sync and you're losing dmg because of that.

@@AlastorYagami for co it is a nerf. in raid realistic scenario for atk buff uptime was 95% overall 90% on pet autos/bleed. steed won't make up for the around 15% less damage you're doing overall. even other good korean co's like sticky rice cake are doing less damage post patch.

@@Ippotsuko It's not 15% less damage, where do you come up with that numbers? It's maybe 13% but you have to ignore the change of CO1 MS3 Adr3 to ADR1 MS3 CO3... And steads is like comparable to Earth collapse, which is like 11%-12% of your dmg. Moss gave no dmg at all so it's a complete 11% buff. Steads is also HUGE stagger, so CO becomes stagger bot now too. And if you're getting 95% dmg under buff then you're not using everything off cd. Also, being able to go adr 1 is always ideal if you can make up the crit elsewhere. And you can with MS lvl 3 since that was hugely buffed to give a lot more damage now. Real raid scenario, if you played perfect, and I mean flawlessly, the ceiling will stay roughly the same, but any messing up and the new version will end up better. There are some raids where it's impossible to hit everything anyways. If you use Ancient off cooldown it's a crapshoot whether or not boss will move. You can cancel it but that really messes up your rotation and your damage anyways. And since you don't need to activate moss/Elcid anymore before casting skills, your damage will also happen quicker and you'll be able to get more stuff in before phasing.

@@AlastorYagami going to assume you just mistyped when saying "co1 ms3", we haven't run that setup in 3 years. if steeds is comparable to ec you have to remember that ec got almost a 20% (closer to 18) dmg nerf since it was always under a buff window used off cd in actual co builds, ms3+co3 isn't a co build it's a swift ms build since majority of your damage is coming from the ms engraving and if you do not think that having to run double class is a negative then idk i'd have to disagree completely. actual co builds where ms is at most used as a +1 but generally not at all if you have a 9/7 are nerfed by this patch, the math says so and any high end korean will agree. this is not a good patch for co, and most of every co player in korea thought that it wasn't even going to stay this way due to how bad it is since it more so encourages just rerolling to swift ms. optimally they would give us another patch that actually mitigates the nerfs and splits us completely from ms so we don't even have to run ms+1 anymore since we really only use that for the comfort anyway. if i wanted to play a swift ms build (which ms3+co3 is) i would just play dom swift ms which is easier to play than co and does more damage,but i don't want to play swift ms i want to play the pet class. also going to assume you don't play co summoner if you like these changes

@@Ippotsuko Yes, that was a typo. Since we take MS3 now how was it nerfed 18% though? Since MS was buffed considerably. Before it was 45% ready atk buff / Adr 3 / MS 1 Now it's 27% buff to all dmg / Adr 1 / MS 3 Adr 3 / MS 1 is - 18% crit and 8% dmg MS3 / Adr 1 is - 21% crit and 22% dmg. So we lose 45% ready attack buff, we gain 28% all damage, 14%dmg and 3%crit from engraving change = 42% dmg and 3% crit- Damage should be roughly the same for non-pet skills. I mean, if that's what you're upset about then I get it. It's borderline not a CO build anymore. But if you're worried about the damage then I don't think you should be. It will remain pretty average at best, but it generally isn't a nerf. I always thought ready attack buff didn't last long enough, so I'm not too upset it's leaving. And if you choose to play CO and not go MS3, that's your choice but you're not going to best CO build.

I really like CO, but she has so much problems and looks like SG only remember her just for nerfs 😢, they could have added another summon skill to replace swamp imo. I only played CO for the pets but now MS can use Maririn so I think I going to switch build.

Oof what did they do to the poor summoner. Such horrible class design. I've always loved summoner archetypes, there is so much potential for a cool summoner class in this game. But having the CO engraving only benefit half of the skills? That Swift double class engraving build would benefit more from swapping the CO engraving with cursed doll. At this point, the only viable (and fun) summoner playstyle is the AT Scouter. At least you get a drone to command.
