Most buildings for expos are temporary structures and were not built to last. Towers such as Balboa Park's California Tower and Paris' Eiffel Tower are usually the exception, even though many fought to have the Eiffel Tower torn down. The most spectacular and significant architecture of all would be the 1893 Chicago World's Fair (the subject of Devil and The White City) in which very little still remains. Balboa Park has quite a few buildings left over from its two expos.

Y'all might want to research actual facts rather than 'Tartarian' fantasies. Records of the fair construction exist.
