Thank you for the review. Could you please give a few examples of the auction games you prefer that can be played in about the same time? Also, have you played Amun-Re The Card Game? I am playing that with a small lunch group now and like it a lot at both 2 and 3 players.

HI Bob, I try not to compare games I review directly with other games in the genre as I feel the game should be reviewed on its own merit. But I did want to mention that it didn't stand out in that genre. With that being said a couple of the standout in this genre are For Sale, Byzanz, and Game of 49.

Oh look! Another version of lost cities! This game could have its own game store. Knizia has milked this so much that cows have gone out of business. The man has no shame, or ideas left.

Whoa whoa whoa. While I will agree with your first statement - this franchise is overcooked - I can't agree with your final statement. I thought El Dorado was a neat twist, mashing mini deckbuilding and a race game together. Hopefully the expansion will ramp it up even more.
