It's important to mention that the advanced and expert rules makes this my absolute best travel game. I have yet to meet anyone that didn't like it.

This game sounds like a bit of a mindless game where you play the most obvious card and hope you survive. Are there any good strategies?

Tons of strategies. You need to look ahead at ask your card’s and have multiple moves planned out. And make sure you play with the advanced variant where you draw a card if the card you play in the niche to change the rule, the number on that card is higher than the number of cards in your tableau. That makes the game much more strategic with many more options.

I have the feeling, that It just didn't clicked with them, why this game is actually interesting. But it is still in my game library so maybe someday I'll find someone that likes it, too😁
