Here I took one of my old soundscapes as the basis, adding to it new detailed textures and futuristic sound effects that allow you to delve deeper into this dystopian atmosphere.
A few words from the author: I dedicated this channel to the dark and dystopian side of ambient music. Here you will find such moods of ambient music as cinematic ambient music, dark ambient music, meditative ambient music, cyberpunk ambient music, sci-fi ambient music, futuristic ambient music. Most often in my compositions I use rain sounds, hypontic drones, deep soundscapes, and various synthesized sound effects. You can use my music as ambient music for sleep, ambient music for meditation, ambient music for reading, ambient music for studying and ambient music for work.

Very nicely done, just the right amount of otherworldiness. I'd love to learn to create stills like this, I need several exterior establishing shots for a short sci fi film I'm working on.

You mean people supporting energy, sustainability and having got over priced bills and then watching others turn on the power for free! Where's the line between reality, growth, proper education and the freedom to support ourselfs? Nice scean there! 🎉 Maybe that's a forgotten place with free electricity because of it's own 😮personal power grid

Found this abandoned radio relay station in the middle of the Oregon woods. Looks military in design. First building I've seen in months since the incident happened, and left most of earth abandoned. Normally, this random building in the middle of nowhere usually means nothing, except this one was different. While it looked abandoned, decrepit and ruined, the power was on. The light by the main door was shining, and the lights in the windows are on. I seriously hope no remnants are inside. Remnants being whats left of the humans that survived the incident, though this is a fate worse than death... They seem to just roam around aimlessly looking for any form of life they can find, and corrupt it. They are almost reality bending in nature, so they are very dangerous to be around. Luckily, it doesnt appear that there are any in this area. Looks like I'll hunker down here for the night. At least its shelter from the rain

I was on break at the station. Me and my friends were watching one of those alien invasion movies. I laughed, my friends laughed, I said "Imagine the Tanios winning against the entire Spanish 2020s navy because the Spanish suddenly become stupid and incompetent during the climax for the Tanios to win." Someone else laughed and said "Yeah, and the beginning of the invasion in those movies is idiotic too. For example, I would cut all communication so human military can't mobilize in the first place." I looked around at my friends and said, "Wait, which one of you said that?" Then suddenly 0:00

When the ship returned, we rejoiced. A truly momentous day for mankind, the first test of the new drive that would bring us to the stars. The assembled world leaders beamed their message of congratulations and thanks to the crew, and they- and the world- eagerly awaited the response. What came back in reply was a cacophony of screaming. All who heard it joined in. Now the ship rests silent above, and the world is silent below.

It’s been 10 years - 10 years, 3 months, 18 days, 5 hours, and 35 minutes since the Cold War went hot. The world irrevocably changed that fateful evening. 7 years, 7 months, 6 days, 9 hours, and 12 minutes, the collapse of the Soviet Union made tidal waves across the globe. No one expected it to tear itself apart from the inside out. It’s almost unbelievable the west played no part in it. The decades of more than just Communism, the Russian people bore the brunt of, was a heavy toll. The match that lit the spark between the Soviet Union and the West, also lit the spark far and wide with the Russian people. The war was quickly on 2 fronts. In that aftermath, a shattered USSR was all that remained. Violence spread far and wide. When the dust settled, and the fog rolled in, the Russian people left. Declaring the country ‘Proklyatyy’, cursed. The cursed lands. After a world war causing a staggering number of deaths, followed by decades of continued cruelty, the Russian people urged the UN to intervene. A unilateral worldwide declaration was made; the USSR was declared abandoned. A 6.6 million sq. mile (17 million sq. kilometer) no man’s land. It was cursed. No good came from these lands, only pain and suffering felt across our world. Various countries created large volunteer militias, composed of solely previous Russians. With the goal of keeping others out. The largest border patrols in the world. This is where I am. Inside this no man’s land. These cursed lands. Proklyatyy. On a mission from the highest order, the White House. A unit without a name, we operate individually. So classified, our numbers are kept secret. I have no knowledge of who belongs to this unit, neither do they. The ultimate deniability. Our goal: root out those that cling to Communism. Cling to what was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics; and destroy them. Here I stand, before something I’d honestly, hoped to not find. A powered military installation. This being a small satellite radio relay station. Like the rest of Proklyatyy, the earth has reclaimed this area. Soaked to my bones from the steady light rain that’s fallen these past 5 days, I’m quickly engulfed in a cold chill of what lies before me. The sole soft glow from the lights escaping through the broken window of this circular building, are haunting. The 2 metal trusses precariously holding their flood lights, are more than ominous. Illuminating the fog and mist, they reveal so little, and hide so much. From where I crouch at the edge of the surrounding forest, there appears to be no signs of human activity. This place should not be as it is. My mind quickly settled on knowing there can be more to this than what my eyes show me. Proklyatyy keeps many secrets. Many bunkers, and underground infrastructure. Which can easily contain those who wish to remain anonymous. I can only hope this is not the scenario. For the 2 years I’ve wandered this vast nothingness, my search has yielded no results. I would prefer it to remain as such, regardless of how foolish it is, regardless of the minute probability. I do not wish to find those clinging to what was. Because I do not wish for that to exist. Let this place be only held by this earth. It is clear I must now do what this mission requires. But I must be patient. I’ll remain at the edge of this forest for 24 hours, let those that wish to be hidden reveal themselves to me. If not, then I will force them. 23 hours, 59 minutes.

The Royal Academy of Science had kicked him out. The Americans had laughed at him. The Russians thought he was a spy. So he had retreated; with every dime he could scrape together from his teaching at Oxford he had purchased a remote piece of land in the Yukon and found an old dish and transmitter being surplused by the Royal Canadian Air Force and so he had brought it all to his little mountain in the wilderness and began his work in earnest. Within 10 years he had made contact, as he knew he would, using the frequencies and patterns he had divined from his sound studies of the Great Pyramids. But he kept this to himself, remembering how others had treated him at his mere suggestion that the outsiders could be contacted. For now he would learn what he could on his own. That he had made contact did not surprise him; he had been all but certain he would, once he had erected the infrastructure to send the messages he had labored to piece together over decades. What did surprise him is who or what received that first contact. The alien equivalent of Joe Shortwave, receiving signals in his extra-terrestial basement. But he and this intergalactic radiohead had kept their repartee going for a number of years, hacking through the massive gaps in understanding until one day his celestial buddy advised him that some "religious officials" were asking about their communications and that they would be following up directly with this new Earth contact. They began transmitting their questions. He answered them, all that he could, but they always seemed -- dissatisfied -- with his answers. "They" always wanted more. And so, it was with a vaguely unsettled feeling there in the middle of a late November night that he scribbled down their latest, and what would be their last, message. When he was finished transcribing the patterns of high and low pitches and pauses, he threw the pen back down on the table and stared with bleary, worried eyes at the translation he had written in the middle of his tablet. "WE ARE RETURNING. STAND BY."
