Watch in 1080p.
Prompt given by professor: Someone finding and losing something within the course of the film. No sync sound. You must have at least 15 unique shots.
Within those 15 shots you should include at least SIX (6) different camera techniques/shots from the list of 13 below, with each one used to support the project’s overall theme/story/idea, and using at least ONE technique from each of the five subcategories (exposure, depth of field, movement, lens length, other)
EXPOSURE:
an overexposed shot (NOT completely blown out, but noticeably overexposed)
an underexposed shot (NOT completely dark, but noticeably underexposed)
DEPTH OF FIELD:
a rack focus from foreground to background or vice-versa
a follow focus shot. This means an object/person should move from far away up to the camera (or vice-versa), staying in focus while other foreground / background objects are not in focus. Note this must be done with a focus change, NOT with a zoom.
a shot with shallow depth-of-field
a shot with very large depth-of-field
MOVEMENT:
a smooth pan & zoom executed together (from static start to static finish)
a smoothly done moving (not just panning/tilting, but actually moving across space) handheld shot of at least 5 seconds
a smooth tilt
LENS LENGTH:
a shot showing a long (telephoto) lens
a shot using a short (wide) lens)
a shot zooming in or out
