I'm not at all surprised to learn you won; you're the best frailing banjo player I've ever heard. Nobody plays like you.

Love your 2 finger/clawhammer integration. I'm trying that on cripple creek, but mine sounds like I ran out of paint and finished the wall with the wrong shade. Definitely need to subscribe to you to immerse myself in your artistry.

Watching and listing to this is why I, and other like minded musicians adore playing this, the friendliest and most companionable of instruments. It always delivers happiness, good feeling, and puts a smile on the face, come sunshine or cloud. You should observe an infant's joy on first hearing a banjo being plucked! My current neighbour might choose to think differently, but then again she also hates trees. Love the peg-head inlay and congrats on winning the Old Time Contest.

Definitely prefer the 2 finger over the clawhammer. If I can get myself to start practicing a decent amount, I might try the 2 finger style out.

Man I want to learn this tune, but that f#dead tuning is a bear to get into and sound decent. Anyone got tips on how to do it? Really thick strings?

Been enjoying your videos. I noticed you use drop thumb a lot, do you recommend elevating your wrist? Trying to get it down but im used to keeping my wrist against the head.

@josedelondres23204 жыл бұрын
@@theozarkbanjoco.byedenluka5036 Thanks! I do play the banjo. It's an instrument I've played on and off for a little while but have only just recently picked it up with the determination to play daily and improve as much as I can. Your style is certainly one I try to imitate as much as possible in terms of the general poise and subtlety you bring to the instrument which is not something you see with every clawhammer player. Appreciate your work 🙏
