Glad you're able to share this bunker with us before anyone else has had a chance to destroy it with graffiti or stripping the inside. What a super cool find. Seeing that bunker with the bunk hangers in place, and with pieces of the original wall lining still attached. So good. Truly remarkable that they have lasted this long without being destroyed. And really loved seeing the original German writing on the doors. All the little things that make these bunkers just that little bit more "alive". And yes, it is quite amazing how much effort was put into just this small tiny area, and then, when you remember it was the same over the entire Atlantic coast. Incredible. Thank you both for showing this little forgotten outpost to us. All your efforts are truly appreciated. Cheers to you all!

My friend you are finding more and more intact bunkers. In all my watching I don't remember you finding a bunker with the metal wall lockers and overhead cabinets. I wonder if the former wooden building wasn't directly inline on the hilltop to this bunker, would have made a great lookout during construction. It was kind of the artist to paint in arrows on the 1st bunker in case you could figure how to get in. Another great adventure with stunning results. Keep them coming it's the highlights of my days. Both of you stay safe and well out there.

WW2HH you really need to start thinking about removing some of the items you have found in this series. things like the electric boxes, junction fittings, wire holders, bunk hangers, ventilation fittings and a door. that way you can restore them and turn Eagle-Eyes's bedroom into a replica bunker in 10yrs or so time, when he leaves home. my friend has done that with the spare bedroom in his house. you just line the walls with tongue and grove floorboards first. then you can screw all your fitting on to them, including gas valves. remember, it is better to strip these items and restore them, than let them rot.
@WW2HistoryHunter2 жыл бұрын
Well you could be right but then again many of these are private property and official locations so not always the right thing to do to start removing things like that. Thanks for comment and for watching.

Amazing find by the Explorer Kommandos. This channel is superb watch the videos all the way through to help HH. You will miss many things if you jump!😉 I would sweep this out and live here and repaint it like new. Oil up the shutter so its good. 18:24 this is an over pressure valve (Überdruckventil) If a bomb went off close by outside and the bunker door was open it creates ENORMOUS pressure and would kill everyone inside from the blast wave. This valve OPENS to allow over pressure to escape. This has far more wiring that is usual for a small bunker. It looks like a communication centre of some sort for the MG positions. That road was very important and MAY have had buried mines that could be fired from here? 19:53 the last man that sat there on guard looking out of that shutter in 1945 was eating his Fisch oder Fleisch and maybe a mug of coffee? Such history!!

What a great location, as they always are in your videos. I think you're right about the metal cabinets. They look like they're lockers for the soldiers to put their belongings in. I don't think they're anything to do with communications, electronics etc because I didn't see any holes in them to allow cables to be installed. Wouldn't it have been brilliant if you could've restored one of them? Once again you're amazing research has paid off. So often there is that familiar German barbed wire fencing at the sites you explore. Did you and HH take the original German issue soldier's wash basin home? That bunker was bigger than I though it would be inside. Awesome to see some of the equipment and doors still in workable condition. Surprised that many of the items weren't ransacked by the locals and the original German writing wasn't destroyed or graffitied over. Those metal cabinets were quite the find. Yes. wonder if they were for the soldiers who bunked there or some sort of equipment. Good thing you had your Olight H2R with you. Also, wonder how long it would take for the German soldiers to hammer out the bricks and escape through the emergency escape route? Will look for P3 and see what you have found that is so interesting HH. Thank you so much for taking us there HH and EE.

Definitely much German activity went down there. Wonder about that pink paint on the walls of the soldier's shelter. It would have been great to see the wooden guard hut. Thanks for the photo. The 2 MG positions were strategically placed enabling them to see approaching enemy troops. The Regelbau was in great shape. It did look like we traveled back in a time machine. The original steel cabinets for the German soldiers were interesting to see and the original German writing on the walls.
