Personally my favorite scrapped idea was the original idea for GMK that would have featured Anguirus and Varren instead of Mothra and Ghidorah while keeping Baragon. That would have been such an awesome movie, despite the success of the chosen idea

i’m glad we got the new versions of old monsters in the heisei era. heisei is my favorite era due to the blend of old and new monsters. as a kid growing up in the 2000’s my first introduction to a lot of the classic monsters was through the heisei films so i’m very grateful for that.

I've read that an early draft of Godzilla vs Biollante had Godzilla fight a mammalian kaiju called Deutalios, who Godzilla kills and then devours. Toho presumably removed Deutalios because its fate was too dark and/or it didn't fit within Godzilla and Biollante's story, but Deutalios returned as a quirky character in a series of (unlicensed fan) Toho Kingdom animations.

The Return of King Ghidorah, Godzilla vs. King Kong, Godzilla vs. Mechani-Kong, & Godzilla vs. AstroGodzilla would've been awesome. The former featuring an alien Ghidorah would've been a great film and brought back Ghidorah's alien origins. I wasn't a fan of the dorat origin from GvKG, but it's still fine, I prefer Alien King Ghidorah. I wonder how Godzilla vs. King Kong would've played out if it got made. Seeing Godzilla and Kong fight in slow motion would've made entertaining fight scenes that were grounded.

Bagan finally got a cameo of sorts in Super Godzilla, a videogame released on the SNES which you showed brief screenshots from in your video. It's implied both monsters were altered, Godzilla by Earth Scientists and Bagan by invading aliens, having had their cells infused with Ghidorah's cells. Godzilla transformed into Super Godzilla, which is almost like Space Godzilla in design.

I planed on adapting the original script of GMK into a comic but I quickly realized it would be much harder than I originally imagined. The big obstacle was making sure all the locations would look accurate to 2001. There’s only so many pictures of some of the locations in the script to go off of.

I think Godzilla vs Ghost Godzilla would've ended up aging poorly due to how people today are apathetic or don't like the concept of time travel movies. Some franchises that do that where they bring back old actors or go back in time for nostalgia reasons usually end up not working very well or turns out divisive amongst certain fans. If you're not Back To The Future, most probably this movie would've sucked. I think there was a time travel element in the 90s Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, but since that movie had a bunch of issues and inconsistencies with it's premise, people I guess just don't bother with it at all and take it in as is because there had already been crazier Godzilla movies up until that point.

I’ve recently been obsessing over the canceled Heisei Godzilla vs King Kong film because I think it would of been so damn cool, in my personal opinion I would see Godzilla having his 1991 design and for Kong I would see his design being a hybrid between the 1976/1986 design with probably a few small changes, and they would probably be both 100 meters big, I really wish this film was made, it would’ve been amazing!!

The big problem is, that Kong isn't really a Kaiju, it's just a large ape. Godzilla could easily burn him down to the ground with his atomic breath. The only way is to change the script several times from different monsters and change the characteristics of the used monsters like in the 1962s film. Even in the Monsterverse Kong is too weak for Godzilla, Samuel Jackson had the chance to blow him up in Skull Island and in Godzilla X Kong you can see, that falling from a riff or lava is the death for just a big ape. The Feeling and the Look of the '76 Kong in New York and the '84 Godzilla is similar (and absolutely great) but for me, the two monsters are too different to put them in the same movie.

​@@CynshetKong is objectively a Kaiju since it means strange beast and a giant Bipedal gorilla is very strange not to mention many are just x animal but giant like kumonga or Ebirah. Plus durability has nothing to do with being a Kaiju since many are quite fragile

@@8ball180 But if we are honest, Kong is one of the weakest kaijus. I mean, even Godzillasaurus would take him down easily. Just the fact that we're discussing this says that Kong just wouldn't have fit in a 90s Godzilla movie. For me Godzilla and King Kong are two universes and they don't fit in the same movie. It's like putting Superman and Darth Vader in the same movie, it doesn't work.
