nik Amama I'm not sure about all the videos you've watched but I made these videos because people kept asking me about my experience here. In addition, I thought that these videos would be a great way to document my time here. Not everyone who moves to Nigeria is Nigerian. Some of the Nigerians who are interested in moving back have legitimate questions because living here is very different than visiting. Furthermore, I make absolutely no money on KZbin and this is a simply a hobby. If you don't like this content, there should be an (x) at the top of your screen that you can click on so you don't waste your time. Stay blessed.

Well done its a bold move you've taken. I think people moving back should consider solar power as a long term solution to the electricity issue. In terms of traffic I think it's only really Lagos to be honest. Abuja is a breeze for traffic. If you are not moving for a full 10 minutes in Abuja then it's considered a real traffic issue.

Thank you for leaving this comment. Solar energy is definitely something to consider, but at today's market prices in Nigeria, it is a little more expensive than gas power. I definitely think if the exchange rate improves people may find this option more appealing. I love driving in Abuja and Uyo, the roads are wide and open. However, Lagos just makes more sense for me at this time in my life.

I'm not Nigerian, but considering moving there or Spain in two or so years. :) Abuja might be a better choice than Lagos? What's your opinion? I have seen Lagos advertised so much. I fell in love with it even though I haven't been there yet. Lol I plan to visit both countries in one year, and move in about two years. Lol

Battery bank is enough. No need for solar. A bank of batteries, an inverter and a contactor which is cheap and simple to hook up. JESUS CHRIST saves. By the way if you haven't visited The SCOAN then you've never been to Nigeria.

By the way. On the internet thing, Glo is cheap but it's not the most reliable. Sometimes it's slow and it just doesn't work it some areas. The fastest and most reliable is MTN but it's also the most expensive. Etisalat is the perfect balance. So I definitely recommend that. The best option is to get an internet modem. I recommend Spectranet. If you can get the unlimited bundle fine. It's what I use and I believe it's the best because you can pay for one package and use it for all your devices. Since it's Wi-Fi. You're welcome. 😊

I think this video is useful to Nigerians going back. We must keep in mind that she has family there to cushion her from the harsh realities of Lagos living. She says she has a job. This means that she or her family has connections, unless she is working with a multi national. I would not be surprised if some of them are in the government. Lagos is south west. Is she a Yoruba? Ethnicity is everything for them. I am just saying look at a person's background and determined what course you should take.

+Afrocurlitan Why did you go back? Also based on your accent and looks it seems like you have never spent a day in Nigeria until you "went back" lol. In addition you "had a driver" you must be rich to afford a driver. Finally are both of your parents Nigerian because based on your look it seems like it's just one parent who is Nigerian. Good luck sister.

I love how you talked about the positive and negative of living in Nigeria. You explained things so that anyone who wants to deal with reality can understand what to expect. I am hoping to relocate soon to Nigeria. Amidst all the comfort in the U.S, I feel there is this genuine happiness that will dwell in my heart when I come back to my motherland. P.S: I was born in Naija, but later I relocated with the family to the U.S. Its really a bold move you took and I applaud your courage. FYI, I think you are pretty and very smart :)

Just hire a local Electrician to put in a battery bank. It'll charge while there's power, and when the power's out you'll switch to battery power. Also most in the US have no clue what 2,000 Naira means, if like for the internet you can give a rough conversion it'll help us. Thx.

Afrocurlitan Thanks for the video. I'm more concerned with the legal aspects of relocating. I'm moving permanently to Africa, but I have no visa/passport. This is my hold up i suppose. Have you ever heard of: Right of abode?? I'm of African decent and I believe this would be my loophole around the silly politics of leaving the US. Thanks in advance for your input. ***on a side note, you're very beautiful Queen. If you check out that 50 cent video "Do you think about me", you very similar to that actress who was on the date with 50. lol
@Afrocurlitan
@Afrocurlitan 6 жыл бұрын
Hello Business Man, Thank you for watching my video. I have never heard of "right of abode" but you will need a passport and a visa to enter Nigeria. Honestly, it's not very difficult to get a Nigerian visa if you are an American citizen. I've had friends who applied for a Nigerian visa and got it in two weeks. If you do plan on staying long-term, I would advise you to obtain a CERPAC (Combined Expatriate Residency Permit and Aliens Card).

Also what about the rash of kidnappings that we keep hearing about? It's one reason why some Nigerians are afraid to go back.
@Afrocurlitan

I haven't heard about a rash of kidnappings, but I can see if people don't want to move here if they believe safety is a factor. I just make sure that I'm careful when I commute to work.

+Afrocurlitan "semi-sincere" how so?. You're kind of physically attractive but I haven't seen you without makeup so I can't say that I find you truly genuinely physically attractive because I would need to see you in your natural GOD made form to genuinely gauge that. That's as sincere as it gets. Am I not being fair? you tell me. Again I digress, so are you Igbo? what ethnic group or groups are you from? I'm sincerely not "semi-sincerely" curious and I'll like to really know.

+Ant rip Excuse me? If there's a "stupid idiot" amongst us, it's you. Why? because you lack proper reading comprehension skills. Let me make it easy for you, you "mumu". Here we go, hey look at my actual question "Are you 100% Nigerian or mixed?". Obviously I was referring to nationality, if you were not a "stupid idiot" and a "mumu" to boot you would have grasped it. Heck the chick in the video also grasped it, notice her response " I am 100% Nigerian". In other words I was asking her if she is mixed with another nationality set such as African American or is 100% Nigerian. Good grief.

As I watch this video on my phone I am despairing lol. Internet is so frigging expensive. Lmao re auto updates. Things that you really have to think about. Swift make me angry. Switched to spectranet and they are just as bad!!! Don't be fooled I still convert to pounds and it's not even that cheap still 😓 Re restaurants the quality you get for the price is really ridiculous. RSVP portions are minuscule especially for the appetisers. NOPE
@Afrocurlitan
@Afrocurlitan 8 жыл бұрын
Sorry girl, lol. Man, I really thought Spectranet would be a good alternative to Swift. RSVP portions are tiny, but I just love the decor and overall vibe. I just haven't found a cheaper alternative with the same type of ambiance.

Why are there so many videos about moving to Nigeria on you tube? I understand these people posting videos are about making money, but do you really need a video to move? If you are Nigerian, you dont need to watch a video on telling you how to move to your country of origin. This is like watching your fridge computer monitor to tell you about the calories of food in it.
