Africans generally are very private about travelling dates not only Nigerians. I guess it is a superstitious thing :)
@bokani14ify5 жыл бұрын
Really? Africa is a continent. Where I am from people share their traveling dates.
@blckprnz2615 жыл бұрын
Veronica you are right, it is a continent. The point I was trying to make is that it is common for most people living in west africa not to tell their travelling dates. This may not apply to your country I can understand that. I am originally from Sierra Leone in West Africa. I also happen to have relatives in Guinea and Liberia. Growing up I noticed that my people were not telling their travel dates unless to people they know and trust.
@bokani14ify5 жыл бұрын
@@blckprnz261 ohh I see. I know nothing about West Africa. Where I am from (some place in SADC) people advertise their traveling dates. Though i will not talk for everyone because even within the same country beliefs differ from place to place.

I can testify nigerian hairdressers, eyebrow shaping etc do need to learn customer care, most times they will not listen to whst the customer requested they just do whstever nd if open your mouth they become aggresive. I witnessed it when zi accompanied my cousin who lives in UK. I advised her to source out better saloons those who value their customers.

You have good sensibilities with great insights when you reflect on life in Lagos. You give really rational explanations of Nigerian life in general. I haven't been back for years but I can relate. Your explanations are as good as reviews. You are reliable for this. I always really enjoy listening. By the way, I loved the story about your mum telling you about her travelling at the last minute - as she's reading you a bed time story :-D. I hope you will 'review' a variety of Nigerian things: culture, fashion, food, tradition and travel within Nigeria? Interesting channel.
@adorafaye58865 жыл бұрын
So true, girl. I’m a Naija girl, living in the Diaspora. My mother used to tell me that you DO NOT lend money to a friend. Just tell him/her no, the first and second time, and there won’t be a third time. They will call you stingy behind your back but you will earn their friendship and respect. In the other hand, if they ask for 100 and you give them 20, don’t ask for payback. Send them to look elsewhere, then you keep the friendship, and they will never ask next time. You keep that relationship also. So be smart!

I like your video. But one vital point most of you Vloggers in this niche fail to pass to your audience is : Nigeria is like an entire continent with so much difference in lifestyle with respect to region, state, class.. e.t.c unlike most other large countries of the world with relatively minor difference. So while most of your opinions in this video may be valid for Lagos, they may not be for other regions or category of Nigerians.

Thanks for sharing, you’re quite right. Especially with the pregnancy stuff, in UK people are generally really open about their pregnancy, but you can’t really be like that in Nigeria. Also with employees asking for money coming up with various sob stories...🤔 but my experience was that, it doesn’t necessarily have to be just those who work for you; it could be the security at the bank or even the main bank staff🤦🏾♀️ etc. That happened a lot in Lagos, when I visited the home town it wasn’t really like that I realised that people there generally had a bit more pride/self respect & won’t ask...🤔. Also if you have kids in school, you have to ensure you’re always, em how do I put it, “ gifting” the class teachers so they can go the “xtra mile for your kid”, 🤦🏾♀️

Grest points however why is it every blogger that returns to lagos has to make it my experience returning to Nigeria, while lagos for sure is in Nigerian I've noticed there is a lot of generalization . What is applicable in lagos may be different in the other 35 states. Having said that most of the items are applicable nationwide however it would be good to indicate where you are experiencing stuff cos other people are looking to relocate.

Girl run... the bastard is a love scam bait mugu 419 man. If a man doesn't live with you or take care of u buck him he is a bullfish scammer. Probly tribal or traditional married with kids n a hungry family hiding behind him. He wants status to use u n runaway... your last name is Russel R u a Yankee or a Brit? N if u have none of their tribes bloodline its very very very rarely a true love. Pray over marriage deeply! Don't fall into charms, witchcraft n the black majic they do! They are called Yoruba demons and Igbo monsters for a reason. #Be warned!
@hermannschroeder82014 жыл бұрын
Wrong advice. How could you condemn someone you don't know? Someone you haven't met in such a wicked manner? It's not every Nigerian that is into fraud/scam. Nigerians are naturally secretive about certain things not everything though. Sometimes they try to protect you from getting hurt by withholding certain things from you. Sometimes it could be that they don't know how you will react if you get to know certain things about them which may not be bad actually. My Nigeria friend told me that when he was 6years old that he asked his parents how do women give birth? Where the child is coming from? They did not tell him. They refused to share the information with him. That does not mean that they don't love him. Do not forget that when you point one finger at someone the other fingers will be pointing back at you. Stop making foreigners see your country men and women as bad people just because of the sins of a few. There are bad people everywhere. Every country have the good, the bad and the ugly.
