MAINLAND? ISLAND? WHERE SHOULD YOU LIVE? | LOST IN LAGOS

A subscriber named Rose recently sent me a message telling me that she was moving back to Nigeria and asking me to recommend whether she should live on the island or on the mainland. Although I didn’t feel comfortable telling her where she should live, I sent her a list of neighborhoods in Lagos with their various pros and cons so she could make the decision for herself. After sending off my response, I thought the information would be really useful to those of you who may be in the same position as Rose. I hope you find this information useful and please let me know if you have any questions!

Impressive ! May I ask when you moved to Lagos? You really seem to have grasped a lot about the entire city within a short period of time. As someone who was born and bred in Lagos but who has lived in England for the past 15 years, this made me realise there’s a lot to catch up on at home.

Hi!, Love your videos im wondering why no one gives information on the elderly or retirees of Africa or Lagos what accomodations, does Africa have for people 50 and up and what you do if you want to relocate to Nigeria or Africa!!! Kind of what i mean is do you have access to good hospitals, doctors ,maybe part time work, senior assistance, senior bldgs how please do the older community entertain themselves, how the general community responds to your older people?!? i live in the US!!! Thank you for your information, oh and any programs for African Americans from the Diaspora that can help them?!? Thanks!!!

Hello Afrocurlitan, I am a freelancer and it's very impo for me to have constant electricity. Please where will be the best place in terms of that? I was planning to reside in Maryland, but I don't know if there re some places with constant electricity. Please do you have an Idea? And by d way, u look a little bit like Ashanti.
@Afrocurlitan
@Afrocurlitan 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Kuldoxy, if you are interested in living in a place with constant electricity, you should look into renting a serviced apartment that provides 24-hour electricity. That way, when "NEPA takes light " they will run their generator and/or inverter so that you have electricity around the clock. I am sure there are apartments in Maryland and/or Ikeja that provide that amenity. You can use websites like www.nigeriapropertycentre.com and www.tolet.com to conduct a preliminary search. I hope that helps and let me know if you have any additional questions! I've never heard that I look like Ashanti but she is gorgeous, so thank you for the great compliment! :D

Michael Owusu Kyereko actually I just thought about what you've said and that's a very humbling statement. I don't know if you're being vicious or being true. I couldn't dream of going there expecting privilege. I have a lot of respect for Mama Africa and her people but I don't get the friendliest vibe from Nigerians as it pertains to my being AA, but a am hopeful actually being there will bring a better result and relationship.

R. Murray no im being serious. there are even schools in nigeria that rich peoplr take their kids to try and learn to have fake british or american accents. if you get a stonewall experience there most likely some people see you as being the one looking doen on them, although u may not. because they feel u coming from the richest country in the world. although u may want them to reach out and connect. or sometimes they cant comprehend the accent and hear what you said so they just stare at you.
