Lost In Space cliff hangers were great. My favorite series as a kid. That show started with some serious SciFi, but later slipped into campiness. Oh well, the 60’s....

Such a GREAT show for the time. I watched every time it came on and still admire the cast for taking the show seriously. For kids, it kept us focused on the future. For adults, it kept the kids busy thinking about the future. I became a pilot, a physics teacher, and an engineer so I would say YES to this show. Thanks to the cast and characters that visited each week. Loved it.

Yes the cast was great. Except for Dr. Smith. He ruined the entire series. It could have been so much better.

When Don flips the switch he is actually moving the latch that brings up the Astrogator control. Dr Smith used it when he changed the ships course to head back to earth.

Weird they said this scene was from an episode of season 2 but they start playing the opening theme song from Season 3 it looked like there was a bit of confusion there as the opening theme song of season 2 was similar to the opening theme song of season 1.

The Jupiter 2 suffered damaged by the concussion of the missile exploding on the planet surface, as to their navigation system caught in the gravitation pull of the planet. However, Dr. Smith's blundering, shorted out the power cells caused the ship to spiral downwards and crash land. The upper deck suffered serious damage more than in the crash in Island in the Sky.

The colours they chose 4 the uniforms, indeed the sets & the whole of the second season, were almost eye burning bright...I think they got a bit carried away with it all after the b/w of season 1😁 Thankfully they toned it down a bit for season 3..

Lost in Space, as well as other tv shows during this era, including Star Trek, often employed bright colors for clothing, sets and lighting, as color TV sets were still a novel medium and producers wanted to film shows with maximum visual impact. Color was often “overdone” as a result.
@Dallas_K2 жыл бұрын
All of the first color TV shows did that. They wanted an overabundance of color. The Brady Bunch even set a trend for orange kitchen counters!

Believe it or not, I can actually binge-watch season one. There was a sense of mystery, heightened by it being in black and white, that made the show compelling. I can abide about 3 episodes of season two. The silliness and campiness was off the scale. Season three had a handful of good episodes mixed in with absolute trash.

It was extremely predictable, but they all were: We knew Dr. Smith was going to screw up. We knew the new guy at the helm of the Enterprise was going to die. All the TV shows had a formula back then. It was jut the middle parts that were unknown.
