LOST IN TOBA BAY, The Fishing Island of Toshijima, Turn Left Here, Ep.10

We loved visiting Toshijima, the largest island in Toba Bay and site of one of the top commercial fisheries in Japan. The only thing is that we kind of got lost out on Toba Bay, but you'll see. The nice thing is we started to get a real sense of what life is like in a fishing community. There is a lot to learn about commercial fishing in Japan and the challenges fishing communities face. Just walking through the ports of Wagu and Toshi was worth every step. Spending time visiting these off-the-beaten track places is one of our favorite ways to travel.
