Lost Media Wiki Anniversary Interview (Full Version)

This is an interview that I filmed as part of a documentary celebrating the Lost Media Wiki's 10th Anniversary. Only small portions of it were used in the final version, so today I've decided to release the entire recording. Discover some history about lost media, my channel, and the community!

To be honest I love what you brought to the lost media scene :) back when it first started around 2013-2014ish, lost media felt synonymous with being scary or ominous. But you definitely helped to make it more chill, I think. I cant entirely shake the ominous vibe around lost media (probably due to the mystery of most searches) but yeah.

The lost media "scene" has been around much longer than that. Places like Cinemageddon & myspleen established much of the base that the lost media wiki was built on. I personally have been trading in private circles since the 90's.

​@@J0SHUAKANE oh, well with this knowledge I think this just describes the vibe around the mid 2010's. I don't know what it was like around the 90's but around the time I got into it, it was mostly though youtubers who talked about lost kid shows pilots like they were true crime stories. 😭

Happy 10th Anniversary LSSQ, Congrats. Thanks for sharing your interview and talk about your journeys throughout the years that you talk about lost media and others stuff. I also watched Spongebob controversy that you explain about the missing inflatable balloons of SS character that was displayed on top at Burger King, I always wanted one for my home to display too one day ( I don't have that much money,I hope it's free lol ). Hope it's not too late that is ran out or no longer have them ( but it will always be in my memory 🥺 ). Also, Thank you so very much for mentioning her and about the missing album ( It's a groove thing ) on your livestream, hope its spreads out to the viewers to find out if they have the album with them ( with or without ), I just hope anyone downloading/upload on KZbin and throughout social media ( internet ), so everyone can listen to it in a daily life ( in homes, schools, car trips, phone, parties, and anywhere ) and I can't wait to listens all full album in it too ( hope my writing is okay and all good ) 😊🎶🎧. I Copy paste on my reply comment ( which my comments is at another video ( where it was Livestream ) Hi LSSQ, So sorry that I haven't got a chance to message you much more on your live chat because I was at a friend's house. Also I couldn't message that much on a chat room because it only need to write a small message instead of too long. I probably might have figure it out, remember that I put a list of the songs and "Music & Me" is on the list that is now found? You probably noticed on the cover of it was called BROWN BAGS TO STARDOM, when I went to a Google images, I came a bit across that I probably see so many artists and groups are on the list of the album and that's where Music & Me by Lorie Salvatera is? Including they even have their own talent show tv on a competition at Hawaii of BBTS. On a Google internet, there are also three albums from the 90s as well, the first album was BBTS the tradition continues ( where Music & Me is at ), the second album was BBTS XV ( Love Is, I Always Be Your Friend, including the second with Reprise ), and the final third album of BBTS, which I don't know the rest of the title name, but I believe it was around 1999, and I didn't know there was another song of Lorie salvatera ( Turn on You ) ( which is now a 8 lost songs ) Mind blown. When I went on KZbin, I've even scroll down every footage or live show of the Brown Bags to Stardom, but unfortunately, the only few other videos that I find was only in back in the 80s, 70s or some other years, and I couldn't / can't find the 90s where Lorie perform their, that is really a mystery. The only thing I could find was a channel that called BROWN BAGS ( which has a official of BB to Stardom ) and I believe who's in charge of this channel is Johnny Kai, I'm actually not much know about him, but I'm pretty sure he might have a full footage of the that talent show back of the 90s, I really hope that's true. I'm not asking if he has the album of a single "it's a groove thing", a footage of the live performance we're all the talents and artist are in it, and if that's true that he has LS's album, that would be pleased and a great opportunity to release it on YT to listen the songs. But if I'm wrong ( which he may not have the footage ), why is this album still exist where the stinger is at, without a footage or just lost, which they never been record on video, I would want to see her on a screen video or home video where she performs her songs ( so I guess this means, this is a lost media ). I hope my comments writing are good and hopeful to track / find out what is happened to the Lost show of BBTS ( sorry I write too long, hope my writing is good and okay ). Another copy paste from the last 5 days that I comment from the another video, one last comment: Hi again LSSQ & everyone. There are now 8 songs are lost now that relates to a singer of Lorie Salvatera ( name of the song "Turn to You" ), unfortunately that song was not on the album, witch probably is on another third album which is called Brown Bags to Stardom ( probably year 1999 ), including the second album ( with the song "I'll Always Be Your Friend ( with Reprise )" ) are in the BBTS, which is called XV ( if am correct ). I probably did mention about if they have the lost footage of a live talent show of BBTS ( which I never heard of for the first time ), which probably Lorie was in a talent show, I might have feel like this been a lost media, so maybe someone who's in charge like Johnny ( which his channel called BROWN BAGS ) that probably might have a videotape with him or in a storage studio somewhere ( I don't know if it's true if they did recorded or not, well hopefully they might have it and download it pretty soon, finger cross LoL ? ). I might have great news 🗞️, I have bumped into a KZbin channel that name " Ka Lahui o Hawai'i Nei ", ( where he or she uploaded so many old music from 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and so many different releases years ) which is he or maybe she might have a lost album of " It's a Groove Thing ", which I'm really surprised and excited to hear this, including Brothers and Sisters's lost Albums as well ( which I didn't have chance to explain you about, B&S, and it's a group Band, which is probably why they're songs were missing too, because I didn't have a chance to list they're missing music. ). When I listen to some of these Christmas songs of the Hawaii Christmas style album, I went to listen each of these songs ( which I only listen to one ), I listen to a wonderful song that's called " I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" ( by Robert and Tiera Kekaula ), it was a silly name of the song, but I enjoyed it. But I noticed there was a album cover that list few other artists, which featured Lorie Salvatera in her song " Give Love on Christmas Day", as I was wondering when the light bulb just hits me, does this KZbinr have this song, including the lost album, so I start to commenting him about the Lost album, It's a Groove Thing, probably this KZbinr might not have it, and probably might not respond to me, don't know yet. But, when he respond to me on the comments, he said he'll might check it, and the next day, he responded to me that he will upload it next week, which is really exciting news, which means a Search is over, probably or maybe. I'm still probably thinking about this missing talent show broadcast of Brown Bags to Stardom, which I was wondering if they have a missing VHS tapes back from the 90s ( because the only thing I could find was a old video from back at the 80's ), I was hoping if Lorie was recorded on video, singing at that talent show, I actually don't know what it is because this was my first or second time mentioning about it. But I'm really so excited to hear one of her songs and I'm ready, I thanks to a KZbinr for mentioning about the missing albums and hopefully it will upload really soon. I discovered lost media from the old KZbinr named “Meltingman234” was named “Forgotten media” at the time (sadly unsubscribed him years later in 2017 for other reason, but I hope he’s doing okay at least) when later around 2015 that’s where I discovered “blameitonjorge” where he makes top ten videos at the time. LSSQ’s vids are what got me interested in lost media, as it was far more refreshing and informative than blameitonjorge’s vids which put me off. These days, I’m starting to get more active in my lost media/merchandise hunts by going out and doing research, and I even started reaching out to people, but so far no responses, but fingers crossed tho 🤞🏼

Lsupersonicq brought lost media to the Internet mainstream but pan pizza of rebel taxi definitely was one of the OGs since he's been doing videos on KZbin since 2010 that cover lost media before the start of the lost media. Unfortunately tones of his old videos were taken down by companies and are also lost media since he didn't have copies do to his hardrive getting corrupted
