The only „lost“ attraction I miss was called „Cinema 2000“ (or „Cine 2000“ - I don‘t remember right now): A sphere inside which movies were projected filling your whole sight scope while you were just standing there. The challenge was, not to fall to the ground. If I remember correctly, it was removed around the time Galaxy opened (similar, but + moving seats to intensify the immersion into the movie). As for the animatronics: One of the creators of the park was a puppeteer/puppet designer. I guess, that explains a lot of what was in the park for 3 decades. After the fire in 2001, the concept was changed and the evolution to what we have today started. As a huge fan since 1985 (my very first visit), I can only applaud what the owners created during the past 2 decades and I‘m sure they‘re not done. If only they could get more space (and less neighbors not liking the noise)…

It is very impressive what they have achieved in such a small area! 😀

Luckily we still have Geister Riksha. It's the worst darkride I've ever been on and I love it 😂

It is super cheesy 😂

@@coaster_dad yes it is. That's why I love it. And especially since I entered the park trough Charles Lindbergh so the first thing I saw was FLY. The contrast is so big 😂😂

@funsickus that area blew me away 😍

@@coaster_dad same it's gorgeous. And imo the best themed area I have seen in a themepark.

i love it but its in a horrible condition... got a little bit updated in the past years, but much is not working properly. 100% on the death list für new attractions...

Great video mate. Was just there this week and loved it. Would have loved to ride one of these lost rides tho

Yeah there’s some cracking old rides on the list!

You missed some Attraction: the famous Siegfried & Roy Area with the white Tigers. or the Western Saloon with Lasershow and live Singers ;) living over 40 years in Cologne or neadby, i'm very grateful to rode almost every ride in this video beside Polyp before being demolished 🙂 If Chinatown and the Space-Center-Building vanishes, its a hole new Park tome with no classic remaining rides...

Oooh the tigers sound interesting 😀

As you recap those old and lost rides I find myself thinking about the rides I was on. And god, it was quite a lot I still remember from my childhood and youth. On the day of the fire that destroyed the mountain rollercoaster, we first wanted to go to phantasialand, but in the end, we didn't and I was certainly relieved after I found out. So, thanks for the research and bringing back some very old memories. :)

The monorail should connect the Brühl main station with the park but that got canceled.

Ah that would have made more sense 😀

Love this video. Why do all water rides end up going. X

Yeah I wish the flume was still at BP instead of the headbanger that is Infusion 🙈
@clareriley6 ай бұрын
@coaster_dad fully agree. The flume brought in alot of families BUT that's when they allowed families with spectators in.

What every happen to Wuze ball the portable rollercoaster they had have they still got it?
@coaster_dad10 ай бұрын
Mmmmm I don't recall seeing it when I was there and searching online I can see people talking about it, but it doesn't appear to still be there :(
@Moland_Rack10 ай бұрын
@@coaster_dad Well, there wasn`t an portable coaster called wuze ball in the park... Maybe you mean WuzeTown, which is the official, unofficial name for winjas fear and force. The only two coasters, that got removed over all those years was the 2 that burned down.

Crazy Loop was a Mondial Shake. It was definitely capable of looping, but as with most theme park spin rides, it was run on a pretty awful programme. Fortunately, there are still plenty of Shakes on the German fair scene that run better (particularly the Hanstein family's "Commander")

Yeah it’s frustrating when parks dial down a ride 🙈
