Great to see you and Luke back for a post Xmas play through. Definitely going to get this expansion soon. Love the extra cards, interesting characters and new sideboard.

How fun !!! I think that the expansions of Arnak are indeed the definition of an expansion - that is to make a game deeper and more rewarding when playing

I playtested this expansion and the Mech quickly became my favourite leader (RIP Mystic). It's bonkers how many changes she's gone through and it's exciting to see the final version in action :) Gotta wait a few more months before I can finally buy it, such is life when you don't own the base game in English lol

I see this common error in a lot of playthoughs when using the mechanic; At 34:20, you DO NOT get to do both silver effects. Page 9 of the rules under the effects of a GOLD-gear rotation: "If the gold widget space is empty, choose 1 silver widget effect, just as you do with the silver-gear effect."

Thanks for letting me know. I will tell Luke.

1:47:08 No, not every waterfall has water rushing over a precipice. Definition of a precipice in this context is very specific: it's a very steep or overhanging cliff -- think Indiana Jones exotic-looking tropical waterfalls -- typically a long drop and a single sheet of water. The other broad category is a cascade waterfall. And there are many subcategories, while some also consider rapids as a waterfall type (the water going down, right? although not in a free fall). Non-cataract waterfalls have either slopes or cascades, and the cliffs are never too dramatic -- the water is more in contact with the river bedrock. Also they never have any caves or niches hidden by the water. Cataracts waterfalls are a thin rush of water, looking like veils or curtains, or foaming streaks (depends on width, height, and volume). Particularly narrow and exotic variants (ribbons) can actually shift around (or sometimes appear like they're made of glass, due to laminar flow) or fall from incredible heights into a so-called plunge pool. The reason why you think this is the "default" waterfall is because cataracts are the most picturesque and usually you'll see a cataract on a photo of a waterfall, and that's what everybody imagines as well. Almost all commonly known, most impressive waterfalls in the world are of the cataract type.

Should’ve mirrored the video as was confusing perspective with who was which player board! Otherwise thanks for the video

I was going to do that. But everytime I did it in the past, people complained that it looked weird. But I was going to do it anyway, and then I got the light box. So, I’m like you, I also think it looks odd, but there is no other way to do it.

There was an easier way to get your book up in the first round. Use Idol on two tablets, use boat from guardian boon.

I would love to know what Paul‘s Top 10 is

I did a series of live streams at the end of 2022 where I rated my entire collection. Of course, there have been new games since then, but that will give you a good idea.

Great job with the video Paul. Your guest takes way too long to take his turns.

First expedition and you didn’t play it correctly. 15:27 Unexplored locations at the first or second level, to get to the location, requires you to discard/spend 3 or 6 compasses. You didn’t have any.

Yep. We fixed it later. I wasn’t on form as I’d been struggling with a 24 hour migraine, but thanks to the live chat, we corrected this shortly afterwards.
