the thing about going back in time to repait things is actually a good theory, because it explains the rules of the island. we don't know what the rules are, but maybe they are there to prevent a paradox from happening of time travel. also, the rule about not killing leaders or leaders not coming back, is part of time-paradox-prevention, cause they (leaders) have effect on events.

the whole idea that 2 people are actually the same person is also an idea that was used in a star trek the next generation episode called masks which was about data being controlled by two entities who dont release they are the same, the sun and the moon. reminds me a little about jacob and the locke ness monster

I've always thought Jacob was Aaron. And if on that scene on the beach Jacob and MIB were both in their real forms, than it would certainly be Jacob if any of the two. I've never seen a case of blonde hair becoming pitch black. And Jacob shares many similar features with Aaron.

Anyone else out there think that maybe Sawyer is a cop In the original timeline. Just because he is being taken by the cops in the airport wouldnt have to mean he was not one. I assumed when watching that he was a cop in both. What do you guys think?

Super Spoiler!!! Jacob and MIB are brothers in the year 23 AD. Claudia tells MIB she is his mother. Another woman tells young Jacob that she killed their mother. Adult Jacob, in 43 AD, went to get firewood and returned to find his village burned to the ground. Later, young Jacob and MIB filmed a scene where Jacob wanted to join another group.

I don't think it's a good /evil thing. This show just doesn't seem to be that simple or cut and dry... I think jacob and MIB are certainly two different sides.. but not necessarily good and evil.. just two extreme old and conflicting people/beings/somethings A part of me just wishes that this whole things doesn't come down to psuedo religion or a simple bad vs good war
