I already loved Ben's theme, but flipping it around to be something tender and almost sweet was such a stroke of genius on Giacchino's part (also, the use of that Cmaj7 chord on piano is really interesting!) I think my absolute favourite use of it was in the Dead Is Dead clip you showed, so good, completely rewires how you've been seeing Ben the whole series

Wow that little moment at the sonar fence where it flips back and forth between Jack's motif and Kate's theme all with the Island theme running concurrently *chefs kiss*

Damn! What an episode and what a compilation. The Man behind the Curtain is one close to the top for me and it's so great to hear all the musical colours here. Secrets & Lies. Never thought that would show up here, but you're right! It would work awesome as Ben's theme I love that small cabin motif. It's so eerie and the fact that Giacchino remembers it and used it again when Hurley mentions the cabin in season 4. Cool connections with the unnerving score, popping up in the season 4 finale and when they encounter Desmond at the church in season 5. Always fun when you spot something new. The "no good motif" being one that really gets tension going without any big melodies. Nice to see many variations of Ben's theme. That was also one of the parts of the episode that really cemented it as one of my favourites. Remember learning and playing that on the keyboard so many times after the episode aired.

Huh, "Dharmacide" was the first piece of music I learned to play on a keyboard! 😁 I never got to practice as much as I wanted to, but I'll never forget that one. It blew me away when I realized it was a variation on Ben's theme, and I love how it's made to sound epic and almost heroic in the season 4 finale.

@@FringeMusic107 Ohhh that's sad :( I think the last time Charlie's 1st theme appears is on Season 6x1: LAX part 1, when Jack saves Charlie, Charlie's 1st theme plays with different notes, I wonder if you will add that one too

@@felipedelvalle1 That's true! Though we also hear it briefly in "Happily Ever After", when Charlie crashes the car into the water. I did add the bit from "LA X" originally, but (spoilers 😛) it ruined the flow of the video a bit. I'll likely return to that when we reach season 6.
