I have been on holiday to Switzerland three times. First time was Wilderswil near Interlaken. 2nd was Lenzerheide near Chur in Eastern Switzerland. Finally Zermatt in the South near Italy. I enjoyed all three places all very different.

Izzy is so brave. I admire her for facing the catwalk there over those sheer drops -- and doing it with good humor and grace. Anyone with any fear of heights would face a challenge with that. Grindelwald looks more touristy and busier than when I went there some years ago. But I remember being awed by those mountains all around. You guys were lucky there were no clouds obscuring the views of the mountaintops.

I love the Trotti bikes at Grindlewald. We also hired mountain bikes in the village and took them up to the top on the cable cars and rode them back down. (I did it 3 times down 3 different routes). I recomend buying a week's pass for all the local cable cars and trains (Except the Schilthorn and "Top of Europe" train). It is just an incredible area, and fantastic to go up all the different mountains. I hope one day I can do it again! Thank you for bringing back some very happy memories.

Literally just unpacking the van as we got back yesterday. Originally we were going to Austrian Alps but forecast too bad. We were in Stechelberg/Lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald earlier this week week. Amazing. The Murren cabl;e car was chf500 for both of us, or would have been no way! We got high above Murren on our hardtails.We diverted to Grindelwald for the day on our way north. Rode our mtbs up to the snowline and looped round on some single track. Totally surprised by these wobbly scooter things whizzing down, presumed they'd gone up in the gondola. Now we know. If cycling/walking not too many crowds. Paid for attractions v busy. Wish we'd found that 10CHF park up!

If you are in Zermatt ,theres a train ride to the top and you end up looking down on the Glaciers and the Matterhorn ,its a bit expensive but worth it

Grindelwald is my favourite place I've ever visited, it's so scenic and beautiful and probably one of the most expensive tourist destinations in the world... Ps as Izzy is learning German, she'll know why many places in the Alps have the name brunnen in them such as lauterbrunnen 👍 thanks for re-kindeling my memories.

Just had to pause the vid and say you can do it Tom 💪 I use to drink 6 to 10 cups of coffee a day and Pepsi or Coca-Cola in between, couldn't function without my morning cup of coffee. I've been caffeine free for over 8 years now aside from what they put in chocolate and if I ever have a coffee cake. Only found out a couple of years ago there was caffeine in chocolate 😂

I quit coffee. You feel ok then you drink coffee and feel more ok for a while then feel worse than you did before and then you just repeat it. Its like drinking a beer first thing in the morning. Ps definitely eat the floor berries.
