Thank you for this review. This was a good decade ago. I don't do music anymore I'm afraid, enjoyed no support and now my focus is elsewhere. I'm always lost in the beautiful word play when I hear this, but y'all actually made me listen do the song and I can totally agree with that "after-school special" notion. Now this is some rap I can get into! I grew up in the 90’s and I’m more into rock and metal, but I remember a lot of rap/hip-hop in the 90’s and early 2000’s that was straight fire-even the mainstream shit. I appreciate creativity, innovation, and authenticity in all music, qualities that IMO have been severely lacking in rap for a while.. But maybe I haven’t been looking enough into the indie, underground, and non-American scenes!
