Ryan mentioned the Sinatra record. What is truly amazing about that album is that Mark is donating all profits to the National Down Syndrome Association. During the pandemic his little girl was born with Down Syndrome and he has done this album to raise money and awareness. I’ve been lucky to meet Mark on a few occasions and not only is he a phenomenal musician he is truly a nice guy. You should check out the title track from this album Marching in Time, Mark wrote it for his daughter.

Guys can we all admit Creed had some great riffs and hooks that were extremely catchy...and primarily because of Mark Tremonti...whatever you think about them I guarantee that at least a few of their songs have been stuck in your head. I would love to see you guys do a song off Tremonti's first solo album. Its one of the best hard rock releases in the past 20 years honestly. Maybe "Wish You Well" or "Brains"!!
@stephenrees35022 жыл бұрын
Creed created some absolute belters. Tremonti deserves recognition but so does Stapp. Scott left his mark.
@christopherkaniski88692 жыл бұрын
@@stephenrees3502 That is where part of their rift is. at least from what ive read and so forth. Mark has of course been a central part of both bands, but in creed the attention was always solely on stapp. not saying he didnt bring anything to the table. But that was one of marks biggest issues. a lot of what was wrote was crafted by tremonti. thats why on ODR, he was very particular about who wrote what song and made sure he had his name attached. I can only assume that once he realized Myles was all in on both guitar and vocals, that changed.
@ThePaJomaster2 жыл бұрын
Mark (and Myles Kennedy) use a lot of 'major 3rds' in their minor-scale songs. This habit really gives their songs another level by adding major (happy) notes in between minor (sad) scales. Examples are the last note he sings at 7:42 and in his solo at 8:33 and 8:47. As a musician myself, Mark's a great inspiration!

So glad when I saw this in my feed, so glad to see you do Tremonti. You guys feel about the same as I do about Tremonti. Glad you brought up him singing Sinatra it needs to be talked about more. Glad you guys enjoyed this song. I have always enjoyed his voice and with every new venture his voice has gotten stronger and he's singing with more and more confidence. Easy listening stations are starting to play his Sinatra songs. Sitting in a restaurant the other day I heard the radio they were playing and heard the band playing and thought, hey that sounds familiar then the singing started and realized it was Tremonti. People don't realize just how much his vocals are a part of Alter Bridge and he has always said that he writes with melody in mind both with guitar and vocals and I think it shows. Keep up the great reactions and by all means more Tremonti cause I won't complain. Thanks guys.

Then just a personal favorite of mine, the Power Metal band called Kamelot.
