Try this. Relocate your microphones (right now they are at opposite ends of the table, unnatural for face to face conversation). Put "both" mics near the "center" and you will then be facing each other when you talk into the mic. (more natural setup.) - - Right now you have to look away from each other to talk into the mic. This does not work for George's voice as it often gets lost. Ryan's is loud and clear. I hope you try it and like it. 😎👍

@Weestinn3 жыл бұрын
@@John.AR.Activism I actually listen to a ton of metal and have been going through a huge metalcore/deathcore phase over the past few months. I agree that the song is a little basic and the riffs are pretty simple but imo that doesn't make it bad at all. I actually had your same point of view on first listen, but after that I realized how well all of the sections flow together, and how they make the song unique. (harmonic riff, simple but boppin riff, heavy riff, ambient section, breakdown).
@semaj_50223 жыл бұрын
@@John.AR.Activism I would appreciate a list of those 10 other bands. I'm dead serious. If there's that many bands out there making music that sounds like this is love to hear it. Cause I listen to a ton of metal and have for over a decade and this sounded pretty much just like Gojira to me. And they do attract a few non-metal fans, but most of their fans are still metal heads. So I don't think that's really the case. Remember that complex doesn't mean it's good and more simple doesn't mean it's bad. But music is up to the individual to like or dislike.

Every band has their influences. It's about putting your own unique twist on it. Joe Duplantier's vocals are a lot different to Phil Anselmo's or Max Cavalera's. The harmonic intro to that Sepultura song bears some similarities, but the drum beat is completely different, whereas the drum intro to the Pantera song is similar but the guitars are completely different. After the intro, the song is completely different to them both though, especially during the chorus with the reverb-soaked cleaner vocals. If you can't appreciate the fact that almost every band on the planet takes influences from elsewhere, then you're just being unnecessarily harsh for the sake of it.

I think they have the potential to become the next big band of the channel in the same way Tool, Opeth and Gojira are. A lot of their songs include buildups, lots of groove and some pretty wild transitions. Their songs Nightwalkers and In Awe Of would be a good place to start, Ghost Trail would be a great reaction too but it's a bit more on the mellow side.

Nightwalkers is my favorite song on the album damn if they react to it the video will be an hour long minimum

it would not be a band without everyone! they all contribute to the sound! when i first started playing guitar 15 yrs a go i thought i could get that heavy on my own but shortly there after i realized how important the bass was!!!

@@stefvanroey8191 I'm surprised they really haven't touched Terra or Link at all, I think they reviewed Clone but that's it afaik

I'm pretty sure they just straight up listened to their entire catalogue of music, thus why they don't react to it unless it's new

@@Andre232323232332323 they've definitely heard everything from FMTS and onward, but no real inclination as to anything preceding it

I love that song. In fact the whole album from mars to sirius is amazing.

I don't think it's too early to start calling 'album of the year'. Seriously. And it's just one song! Great video boys, live your channel.

I don’t disagree one bit. It’s an album that can get air play on so many platforms and terrestrial radio stations that it’ll definitely take off and put it in solid running for several awards.

You should definitely react to some Cult Of Luna! They just put out an album featuring Mark Lanegan from the bands Mad Season and Queens Of The Stone Age. If you want to do something new you can do the song Three Bridges from that album, but Nightwalkers is a good song too that I think would make your playlist.

Love you guys and love how genuinely you can bring to us ur reaction and oppinions about different music. Ive seen the previous reactions and i really got fun time with you. Ive been growin listenin to a lot of different music. From reggae to hip hop, from classical to metal and im feeling close with you both: enjoying the food musics going out of the dogma of generes. Is a "think free" mindset that i recognize u defenetly have. I really suggest you yo check out Soen. In My oppinion u would enjoy their music (close to Tool sound, with intresting transitions and intensity changing. I really hope to see you doing a reactions about Soen (good songs could be: Canvas, Vitriol, Lascivious).

I saw this one yesterday for the first time, now the reaction the next day. Love it! Gojira is one of the bands I was supposed to see last year Live for the first time. I hope they come back to the Netherlands soon.

Guys! don't sleep on melodic death metal any more. We know you already love heavy, groovy riffs with pockets of melodies and smooth transitions from your love of Gojira and I can almost guarantee you these next 6 bands will be playlist. You guys are opening up new horizons but I feel like the melodic death metal genre is a sleeping giant for this channel....... At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul, Cold Darkest Hour - With A Thousand Words To Say But One, Doomsayer Dark Tranquillity - Lost to Apathy, Focus Shift In Flames - Ordinary Story, Only For The Weak Soilwork - As We Speak Be'Lakor - Countless Skies

The build up intro gave me Rage Against The Machine vibes, which I didn't expect when I heard it for the first time, and then I expected a drop into something heavy, and instead we got a thrash bit. Loved the subversion.

Great reaction, guys! Please check out "No Place for Disgrace" by the band Flotsam and Jetsam! It's the title track from their 2nd album released in 1988, and it's about Japanese Samurai warriors. Jason Newsted formed this band before joining Metallica in 1986 after Cliff Burton (bassist) died in a bus accident. Flotsam and Jetsam are still going strong. They'll be releasing their 14th album later this year! Thanks!
