Peter knew their music was cheesy and that was their schtick. I got to meet the band after a concert one night and they were not acting like Vamps just real people who laughed and joked. But as a little goth girl in her 20's Jeeyaysus! I am short so I came just up to his elbow! Their stage show was completely dark and sexy. Yes it was Vampire themed and so very gothic. While they took the performance seriously, they didn't take Goth lifestyle like something real. They just catered to masochism and the whole Vampire fetish. Not to mention that their music was original and literally imposed an emotion of just... Darkness. The videos were part of the flavor of the genre though that is how we saw them first and learned who they were and what their performance was about. It is VERY important to note they were doing a JOB that catered to horney little goths and they poked fun at that in every interview they did. And I was okay with that. *laugh* cause DAyum. He was so haWt.

Such a joy watching you having great time with TON! And yes, the band used to implement dark humor and make fun, especially in their first 3 albums (this one's from the third). And I would really love to see you react on Life of Agony's "Through and Through" - same year, again Brooklyn, NY, same drummer as in TON and the guys from LoA are actually adding backing vocals in this very album of ToN. Salute!
@bassproscott3 жыл бұрын
The Benson Hoist Lesbian Choir is just a joke...it's credit for themselves on backing vocals. Its a play on word of Bensonhurst is a place in Brooklyn but spelt as though how they'd pronounce it. Funniest shit.
