I remember when they first started getting into metal they got bleed by meshuggah and got thrown off the deep end and didn't like it, but now they love shit like Blackwater Park lol. They've grown to really like this kind of music, even the heavier shit and appreciate the heavy metal that they don't like.

I am not a Tool fan, just because it's not something I ever considered listening to. I saw their weird 90's videos and just turned the tv off, filing them in the "nah" folder. That being said, "Fear Inoculum" and "Pneuma" have made me want to go back and listen to them for the first time - and thanks to LiV for bringing them to my attention. I just always ignored them. Can't do that any more. These two songs have totally blown me away. The best way I can describe it is, it's music that you listen to for different reasons than you listen to other music. This is in its own category. It's another level of music. Just stunning.
@abroZ132 жыл бұрын
When I first heard them, they sounded really strange, like nothing I had ever heard before. I wasn't a big fan of it but man it was intriguing music, made me feel uncomfortable. For some reason I kept coming back to that one song (schism got me in) and which each listen it grew and it kept growing on me...by the 15th time I heard it, I thought it was a masterpiece and so I listened to some other songs of theirs and the same thing happened all over again with each song slowly but surely creeping up on me to the point where they now are my favourite band and they made me listen to music in a different way. Just give them enough time and really listen and you'll love them.

Admittedly, one of my favorite things to do is to get baked, lay on the floor, and listen to this album. This song is such a great reminder that we all come from that one spirit and for all our differences, we're all connected. And I just love that feeling.
